The very large inventory of commonly used parts is also very helpful, as is the wide variety of in-stock tools. Locally owned parts stores are always the way to go versus chain stores. Assuming, of course, that you want to get the correct, high quality part the first time, and not spend your day going back and forth to find one that fits and / or works.”

“My husband and I cannot thank this establishment enough for their help! We live 3 hours away. On our way to Oneonta to give our daughter (a SUNY Oneonta student) her car back after getting it inspected for her, the car began smoking and making noises. We didn't know what to do! We googled mechanics in the area. The first one we stopped at, lended no help. We went to Nate's next. He took one look and knew right away that the problem was the water pump. He said that he could fix it the next day. He even gave us advice as to a taxi service to help us out. We were stressed and upset, but Nate's saved the day! We took their business card and told our daughter to place it in her wallet for all future car issues! This place treated us with kindness, empathy and compassion. To us, this says a lot about a business! Nate's was also extremely reasonably priced! They permitted us to pay for the service in advance, so the cost would not be a burden for our daughter. We cannot recommend Nate's enough! Thank you Nate's for amazing service and for helping this very stressed out family during a troubling time!”

I arrived at the dealership shortly after we spoke and he had two possible options pulled up for us to look at. He was knowledgeable on both.After choosing a vehicle our experience continued to be smooth and painless!Russell (finance) was great at providing information on warrantees so we could the best choice for our situation.Exceptional Experience start to finish!!”

“On my way home from Elmira NY to Watervliet NY about a 3hr drive. My van broke down on a Sunday. By stroke of luck or a blessing from above I was able to make it to this garage that I Googled closest to me. I left a note with my key fab and prayed for the best. Monday morning I reach out. He tells me he's pretty busy today but will try his best to work it in. By the end ofbthe day he called me and diagnosed the problem. Finished up the very next morning by 10am. He was very thorough, and broke everything down for me. I was expecting a huge bill and ended up being less than what he originally quoted me. I was extremely happy with his customer service, timely work, and how thorough he was. I don't live in Morris but if I did, this garage would be where I took my vehicles. Thank you Morris Garage for squeezing me in and getting me omw!”

“Our vehicle overheated and we broke down while our son had a baseball tournament all weekend in Cooperstown. I originally had it towed to the dealer and they said they could fit me in 10 days later. I called another garage and they said 8. I called Lou's and he said he could squeeze me in that day or at most the next. I had the vehicle towed over and he stuck to his word. He was able to look at it and replace our water pump and brakes. The total bill was way lower than I expected and certainly much cheaper than the dealer. They also insisted on showing me the parts they replaced even though it wasn't necessary but a total trustworthy gesture. If I lived near here I would never go anywhere else. They were absolute life savers as we were also moving out of state the following weekend. So definitely consider them for your repairs!”

“This place really saved us. I was Upstate for the weekend and noticed my tire was leaking air on a Sunday morning. Thank god they are open 7 days a week, unlike almost all shops in the Oneonta area. I called to see if the they could take a look at my tire and they said yes, so I brought my car in. The mechanic found a screw and patched up my tire in an hour and I was on my way home to the city. I will definitely keep this place in mind for the future.”

“These guys are great. Coming off an extremely bad experience from another garage in town, who neglected something I'm told is very basic and put my car and my personal safety at risk. These guys got me right in, told me what the issue was almost immediately, went out of their way to give me a discount because of how badly I'd been screwed by the other garage, and were overall just a pleasure to deal with. I've since had the same issue two more times, for the same reasons, and these guys have gotten me back in quickly with almost no notice, now for 3 appointments in a little over a week. They corrected the problem again, and didn't charge me both times. Good guys, good service, good prices. I'll be coming back. Hopefully not for a while this time though.”
