I recently scheduled swim lessons for my son the Y in oneida. However, the next day we decided that we couldn’t attend them and asked for a refund and they gladly agreed that they were going to help us with this process. About a month after I still didn’t get any notice about the refund(no emails, no calls, etc) I decided to go back and ask about the process of my refund, but I was so frustrated when they told me that the refund couldn’t be processed. I’m just so mad that I have been waiting for the refund to be processed like they agreed for a whole month and no one has told me that I couldn’t get the refund. If that’s the case then while being cashed out they should have told me that there’s no refund or otherwise the guests themselves should have the right to ask for one.

Oneida YMCA has incredibly terrible scheduling. This is the only gym in the area where you can bring your children, yet the times for childcare are minimal and inconvenient. We have shown up multiple times just to realize there is literally nothing I/we can do. By the time your child gets home from school and or/sports practice, child watch and open swim for the day is unavailable. They have no space available and appropriate for kids between the ages of 7-10+ as their interactive room in unattended and they barely hold fitness classes for youth, and if they do it costs extra. By the time you realize that you just paid for a membership that you can't use, they will politely tell you they can cancel your membership but will be keeping your $700+ payment.Truely unfortunate that a place designed for families only caters to the elderly and single persons. This Y really needs to reevaluate their offerings.

Belonged to the Fayetteville YMCA for a year, extremely pricey considering half their amenities were closed because of the pandemic(no discount offered). The Oneida YMCA summer camp for kids was decent priced for glorified babysitting, they should really model themselves after the YMCA Camp Eggert. YMCA is starting to feel like a money grab business.

im very unhappy with the oneida YMCA. signed a contract with them mar 3 2020 and paid the yr fee for my 2 babies and myself the country was shut down 10 days later they did not answer calls for the whole duration nor send me a single email detailing any of the info pertinent to my membership. i can not and will not work out in a mask the pool the main reason I got the membership along with daycare so I can work out is still not open. I asked for a refund til the country opened fully back up as I did not sing a contract with all these restrictions in place and I still have not been able to utilize any of the services as I have to find childcare to do so outside what I already spend for daycare while I work. they refuse to give me money back but said they will extend the membership the 6 months they were closed. thats not what I want I dont want to be in public with my children and risk their safety for the ymca to make a dollar or for me to feel like I didny just throw a way a ton of money. so sickened and saddened that they are more worried about being able to stay.open then ensuring they have repeat customers by allowing them a refund and to come back when things are safe to do so. so sick about this

I love the YMCA, I just wish it were more affordable and accessible. If you are a working person, the shifting hours of operation make it really difficult to make it there, especially if you have younger kids who want to use the pool but also need to be in bed for school the next day. I just cancelled our membership because I didn't feel the cost was justified. We are just not able to get there and make use of the facility. It's a shame. I understand that the YMCA has to juggle classes with open swim and it's hard to make everyone happy. The Y has a ton to offer, it's just hard to take advantage of those options if you are a working person and/or have school-aged kids.

I recently started attending YMCA in Fayetteville what a difference. The cardio equipment is better maintained , more classes and much cleaner. I find more for children of all ages water park and actual art room with pottery classes. Same price enjoy this facility great staff. Time to step up what is offered .

Decent place to workout or swim, but very pricy and the hours are pretty bad. Overall a good facility, but you can't really use it if you have an actual job... Seeing as hours are around 5:30-8:30/7:30 weekdays, and weekends are only 7-1, leaves no open time for people who have day jobs and want to go to the gym at night (8-10pm). Family packages are very expensive, only cheap option is to say you're a college student and get the $20/mo deal
