Small town shop had everything we needed and were used to. Slightly higher prices but to be expected because of location.

Firstly, the prices are absolutely absurd. As the ONLY grocery store in a 15-minute radius, the next closest being Kalil's Grocery in Inlet, they are able to raise their prices up by 50%, possibly even doubling regular food prices. I've even encountered them changing the price of a pack of ground red meat from about $11 to $16 one day.Secondly, the quality of the food is low. The fruits and vegetables are disgusting, some with mold growing on them; the meats are decent, but they appear to be re-frozen after being removed from the delivery truck based on the quality and texture; and some products are underneath a heater on the ceiling, such as olive oil and canned goods, causing them to spoil faster. For the price and quality of their products, I'll be more than happy to shop at a corporation any day.Thirdly, the staffing situation is horrendous. The older-aged staff (cashiers and managers) appear to be constantly miserable and vile, and the new, younger people appear to be constantly used and abused and put under pressure. It's a very sorrow sight.Fourthly, they are very limited on food, especially during the on-seasons; and close early: 7 P.M. Monday to Thursday, 8 P.M. Friday to Saturday, and 6 P.M. Sunday. (And that's only during the summer.) If this grocery store is your only one, you better be willing to shop here at an early hour.Ultimately, I will no longer support this store when visiting the area, unless I'm in a situation where I need food immediately. It would be best to save your grocery shopping trip for when you must go to a city, such as Utica. I recommend shopping at Hannafords in New Hartford, where they have a much larger selection of cheap and quality food products. I like supporting (small) local businesses, but when they have no competition, scam their consumers with overpriced products, and treat their staff in a terrible manner, I refuse to support them.

Popped in today for a few supplies and was very pleasantly surprised to see that they’ve got lots of organic options now!

Its a small IGA in a tourist town so everything is marked up but they definitely have more camping items then a regular market would. This was super helpful when i realized i for got a camping tote at home. The staff is super friendly and will to help find anything you need. There produce was well stocked and fresh i was even able to buy a large frying pan there i now call her Big Bertha

Subs are huge and reasonably priced. Groceries are expensive but not anymore than I'd expect for a small town grocery store.

Have enjoyed this wonderful business for years, thanks to the dedicated family owners who go way beyond basic to serve the community. They are dedicated to this town, and very supportive of many charities and good causes. Excellent quality, particularly the deli and grinder section, with some amazing combinations of flavors and textures. If you buy only one thing, buy a McCauley Mt. grinder on an assiago roll with lean roast beef, savory ham, turkey and cole slaw, and forever, you will be addicted. Nice selection, fair prices and weekly specials from Friday to Wednesday that will save you a bunch. Always a nice place to come.

This is a very convenient store. It is more expensive than grocery stores in more populated areas in NY. They do have some great produce, fresh corn. They do have a very nice deli for freshly sliced deli meats. You will find They don't always accept returnable bottles, which is very frustrating. Also found some great local products. The bottom line, in my opinion, is don't do major shopping for staples, but great for last-minute needs!

Nice supermarket. Customer service was exceptional and answered all questions and concerns with a smile on their faces.

Honestly tired of the disgusting attitude we receive from the deli staff every single week. For YEARS I’ve come here with a smile and put up with their horrible attitudes. Not anymore. Do yourself a favor and shop at Inlet instead. The people are kinder and the food isn’t moldy like it is here at Diorio’s! To the grouchy women behind the deli counter: have fun working this job for the rest of your lives!

We were very happy with the shopping and delivery service to our rental camp. We also used the deli service to cater a large lunch and the family subs were delicious. Very friendly service.
