Very nice hotel with clean rooms. Conveniently located.
Rooms: The rooms were nice. There is no elevator to the second floor rooms.
Nearby activities: Tons of possible summer and winter activities nearby. Great choice of several fantastic restaurants within a mile or two.

Rooms were disgusting. I found black mold in the corner of the ceiling that they tried to patch over. There were holes and chunks of paint off the walls everywhere(I have pictures to prove it but this review won't let me upload any). They gave us a huge hassle with my dog. My uncle originally booked the room and thought he booked a pet friendly one. When he called to change it they said they had none available. I then called anonymously and they said they had 3 pet friendly rooms available for the same dates.....wow. I had to find a kennel for my pup....and that cost me even more money.. My uncle booked through Priceline so we had to have them call to change the reservation. When Priceline called the front desk worker and they said they now only accepted service dogs...which is an absolute lie. All because Priceline gave my uncle "the best deal" which was still $120 a night for a sticky outdated room that had paint peeling off and holes in the walls. Everything is outdated by at least 15 years and it feels like they took advantage of my elderly uncle....I am home now. My face is rashed out and I haven't been able to stop itching since I've left...worst part about all of this is that the place was pretty much vacant when we were there. Only a couple guests......so why make such a big deal over a simple request? And how would my clean up to date pup ruin these horrific rooms?

It's an old motel and it shows.
We were on our way thru so it served our purpose.
The rooms were clean but overall maintenance was bad.
The window mechanism didn't work, the tv only worked after the friendly and helpful onsite employee came and explained and showed that you had to switch some lighting switches to make it work, and after that the tv only worked in glitches.
The area of Old Forge is beautiful this time of year.

We rode up on the motorcycle wanting a safe clean place to stay for just one night. Booked a room through Priceline. When arrived at the motel they said the dates were for the following weekend and since the room was booked through a third party website the motel is unable to change dates or issue a refund. Unsure why a business is not able to accommodate their customers regardless of how they booked but that was $105 we were out of and no where to stay unless we wanted to get scammed once more. No consideration and no manager on duty. Will be contacting the owner.

They dont have a minibar, yet you have to be 21 to check-in. Even if you have walked miles to get there. The person upfront is very rude and not ready to help at all!

I stayed here for 4 nights as a family of 4. Not once did housekeeping step foot in our room. We had to ask them daily to take out the trash, they never replaced a towel. One day I asked if the room could be vacuumed (I have two small children) and they handed the vacuum to me!!! I had to walk to the desk to ask for garbage bags and toilet paper because we ran out of both. The AC was old and made terrible noises, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls. We called to give feedback after our stay and we’re just told”sorry” with no offer of any compensation. I would NEVER stay here in the future.

Very dated, room looked nothing like online photos. Rooms need a complete renovations. Front desk help was no where to be found when checking out.

Check-in was great.
The staff member was friendly, knowledgeable about the area etc. and was kind enough to make restaurant recommendations.
The hotel looked well kept from the outside.
The room we had was neat & clean. The shower was great. There was soap, shampoo & conditioner and a hair dryer.
Also, lots of fluffy towels.
Our air conditioner did not work, but I am sure it would have been fixed if we notified the front desk.
We just opened the window.
There was coffee & tea after 8 a.m. but no food (cereal, bagels, toast etc.) Most of the hotels were we have paid that price have had something for breakfast.

Rooms are clean but need some major updates. Can hear every creak in the floors. I understand that motels in the area are old. Beds are not comfortable at all. I’m not sure if this is the whole motel or just in the main building. Pictures on the website must show different pictures than what the main building is. Very nice indoor pool. Staff is all very friendly. If you need ice it is unfortunately located on the 2nd floor. No elevator.
Rooms: Rooms in the main building need some major upgrades, but are kept clean.

Pros: close to Old Forge without being in the middle of the fray. Dog friendly with grassy areas and a side walk (we book through their website so it's easy to know what rooms are dog friendly). Rooms are basic and staff was friendly.
Cons: the beds are SO HARD! After 2 nights, my hips and back are killing me (my husband confirms the same). There is no natural light in the rooms unless you keep your shades open for all to see (no privacy curtain). I can deal with that if the beds were at least comfortable.
Overall this hotel works for the purpose of being close and dog friendly, but for the price they charge, I would at least expect to get a good night's sleep!
Rooms: Dog friendly rooms are motel-style with 2 beds (say they are queen but feels like full). Has the basics - mini fridge, coffee maker, etc...
Walkability: Walkable to Old Forge (~25 min walk to get to the center of town). Sidewalks lead into town with a wide median.

It was claimed pet friendly online, but when I arrived I was told my room was not pet friendly, hidden in the fine print. It would have been a $250 fine. The lady at the counter seemed more than happy to offer our dog to stay there as long as she got extra money.
I had to do a non refundable cancellation to this greedy motel and find a different place to stay.
At least from the outside and office, the place didn't seem too well kept.
