“Rushed to the Post Office after work to get there before they closed. Literally made it by 2 minutes. I had to file paperwork to open a PO Box. I was greeted by Ar-Nay who took the extra time to help me even though it was after 5pm. She was so kind and helpful. She didn’t rush me at all. Because of her I was able to cross something off my to-do list without having to come back another day. Thanks, Ar-Nay!”
“I don't go to the local post office often but every time the people who work here are courteous and quick. I went there today and the lady working there completely went out of her way to help me out with my package without letting the line backup.”
“My got to Post Office.It’s small but there is never a line or long wait. I work in Bay Shore but I make the extra 5 minute drive past the Bay Shore Post Office to head here.Staff is friendly which is not the case typically at any post office/public service establishment.”

“Every time I go in there they workers are having a party, swinging from the lamps, dancing, blaring the music, drinking cocktails. I think I smell weed sometimes too. I usually hang out for a couple of songs and then leave buzzed, I usually forget to mail my letters LOL. Did anyone ever play that game with with the postage scale they are always playing? SO FUN!”
“I live on the borderline of Farmingville & Selden and prefer to go to the Selden Post office for shipping. The employees are fast and always very polite and unlike the Farmingville Post office the employees in Selden handle my packages carefully. Whenever I ship thru Farmingville at least 2 out of every 5 arrives damaged.”
“I am not from Islip, but from Queens, NY and was visiting a relative. I lost my receipt but two weeks ago, I was sending a package out to Florida, for my niece's birthday. Postal Clerk Mary attended me, as I walked in. She was engaging, warm and asked all the pertinent questions related to my shipment. She even asked if I needed stamps and I had forgotten, that I DID NEED stamps!I wish every Clerk in the US Post Office was as endearing, proficient and professional as: MARYI'm sorry I lost the receipt but I hope someone on the job or neighbor sees this post and that it brightens MARY'S day, as she did mine.”
“Nice staff, in a great location right on Hawkins Avenue and Moriches Rd - close to the mall so when I'm late sending out a present I can literally go from the mall to this post office. They don't have a self service kiosk though.”
“Since the previous postal clerk left (retired) there has been a big change in this post office. The postal clerk there does not have an attitude and is always willing to help”

“My family and I moved to Bay Shore 4 years ago, we've met a lot of friendly people but the BEST of all was our postman "Craig" he's professional and courteous, always has a charming smile, and most of all handles our package and mail with care. We've had other post people in between and they some times they'll put our mail in someone else mailbox, and I've found other people's mail in our mailbox... But with Craig I got my mail. He occasionally stops and play with my dogs, Craig has a huge heart great personality. You can tell he enjoys his job, Bay Shore Post Office is blessed the have a worker like Craig. “I would not believe a review that starts with "This is the worst post office in Suffolk County" unless you believe said person visited the well over 100 post offices in Suffolk County. Hardly ever a line, staff is always courteous and friendly. Would not blame them for following federal regulations or a delay that happened on the road probably in another state.”
“This is my favorite post office. The staff at the front desk is always very friendly, efficient and willing to assist. And also their closing hours are a little bit more late than most of the other posts offices, they close at 5:30pm, what makes it more convenient.”

“I can't say enough about Susana at this location who went way above and beyond helping me with a critical situation. An error was made in addressing a package when someone moved and some very important documents were lost. Susana took control of the situation in an expedient, patient, caring and professional manner. It was amazing that in a facility which handles so much mail every day she was able to locate the package and promptly get it to its correct destination. Susana was humble and acted as if she did it every day and just shrugged it off. Meanwhile, on the other end of the phone all I could think of was Superwoman. I hope that this is put in her employee file and at her next review is remembered. I also hope she is considered at the next review for employee of the month. She certainly has my vote. I had an issue arise with my package and not only did Jeff go above and beyond to look into my issue, he also went out of his way to completely resolve my issue and fix a mistake he had NOTHING to do with creating in the first place.
