We have avoided this store for about 5 years due to the poor service. Any stop was for "Emergency" purchases only.
This February we decided to give another try as we are assisting a family member with a building project in the Norwich area. The employees and manager in this store are are very helpful and knowlegeable, even the younger employees exhibit excellent customer service skills, the best of any Lowes store in the region. However...... there is an assistant manager that does not belong here. He is cocky, condecending, and unprofessional. (Not only to various customers but also to some store emplyees). His attire is not commensurate with that of a person managing a large corporate store. I approached the store manager in regards to an undesirable encounter with this individual, the next visit I left my contact info, approximately 2 weeks have passed and I have not been contacted.
We have spent a considerable amount of money at this store and will not tolerate this behavior especially from management.
We are putting this store back on the "Emergency List" and will return to patronizing the family owned lumber yards in the region.
Update 8/11/24,
After calling the 800 # (3 Times) and getting different responses, it is clear that we will no longer patronize any Lowes location. The on going issues are due mostly to poor and inadequate management. Most of the store managers are just not qualified for the job, let alone the assistants. There are still independent lumber yards around most any Lowes that offer good products as well as service.. As for other items, you can find it on the internet. It is just easier to build a project with out the aggrevation of a bunch of corporate loosers.

Employees aren't very knowledgeable, and the past few times I've gone, it's been 100% self checkout with employees standing around talking. Local then Amazon before I go to Lowes again.

All I can say is I use to work there. Worst management I have ever worked under. They treat you terribly and the harder you work the more they put on you. Whole management sit on there butts in zone office while customers are in need of help. And wonder why they have to put out signs telling customers to treat Lowe’s employees with respect. But upper management doesn’t treat customers with respect. Will leave customers standing at customer service forever. But what can you expect from lazy underclass employees.

We are located in the center of 4 different Lowes. They are all virtually the same time driving. The Norwich location is superior by far. It's almost like they aren't in the same chain. You never have to track someone down for help. They always offer to assist with getting the merchandise off the shelf or to load it in the car. Great store!!!

Never have anything available in store when online says multiple available.. have to make multiple 45 min trips to other stores. Love shopping with Lowe’s but Norwich don’t have nearly what the other surrounding locations have and are always out of supplies when need.

Went to buy 2x4s and they were all moldy..a friend showed me a video of the same location. Having moldy wood...that is so wrong

I ordered fencing online for curbside pickup. This is the second time I have used this option.
The staff was fantastic! My order was brought to my truck and loaded completely by the Lowe's team. I didn't have to touch it at all.
I am sorry I didn't catch the young woman's name. She wore a blue vest, was very efficient and professional. She was a pleasure to meet. The young man working with her was the same.

We went to the store for a couple of items. We were appreciative of the upbeat, and friendly Lowe's team for asking if we needed help several times throughout the store. Wonderful as usual!
