First thing's first: GREAT customer service! Tom and crew provided a NYS inspection with easy drop off / pick up later service. Got a call within a few hours with good news and a few help suggestions. One of which I had noticed and was curious about the day before dropping the car off and they came to the same conclusion without having talked about it. Great minds think alike. Clean and accommodating waiting area. And most importantly you can trust these guys.

First and foremost - Just wanted to say these folks are fast! I was experiencing an issue with my vehicle where it would shut down at red lights or when idling for a certain period of time, as if the ignition were turned off. It would occasionally fail to start right away, needing several seconds of cranking to fire up. The latter being a problem that I had been trying to chase down for a year prior with another location following the installation of new spark plugs and ignition coils, and the former which started happening in the last month. The car never gave an indication as to what was going on. No Check Engine Light, no sputters, and nothing obvious with the performance. The engine would just... turn off, or not start.
After dropping the car off, follow-up calls were prompt and professional. At first, the problem was difficult to reproduce and the car needed to stay overnight. After the overnight stay, I got a call confirming the problem was reproduced, fixes were attempted, and another run was in process. Following that run, the problem was improved but not fixed, and more fixes were made. Since then, the car seems to be working as it should. I think the key to reproducing the problem, was based on an observation I made with my vehicle where I experienced a stall-out by simply having the car idle with the AC on in a parking lot, and that was information I didn't have prior to my CarFix visit. Information is certainly key to a successful repair.
The problem? Ended up being an overheating Ignition Relay, which, after replacement, then led to a Crank Shaft Position Sensor being bad. All of the parts which were replaced make total sense as to what was happening with the car. Following the replacement, the car almost seems to be responding better to the accelerator, it starts up just like new, and it runs smoothly as it should. Total time in the shop? Under two days, which is notable given the difficulties in troubleshooting the initial problem. I waited about a week to write this review to ensure the car doesn't experience any more problems, and so far, so good *knock on wood.*

Tom was fantastic! From the 1st phone call to the completion of my repair was within 30 mins. He had me pop in with my trailer immediately and was extremely friendly, professional, and helpful! Adam performed my repair and did a fanatic installation and my job was complete quickly. The guys at Carfix are top notch!

As a veteran, I can say that Carfix auto repair is Truly professional in every way. Tom and his staff were able to complete the New York State inspection, change the battery, change the oil and fix an oil leak that I had in a very timely manner. I will definitely recommend this location to anyone who needs Anything fixed on their vehicle. They are truly reliable and professional and every way. I just had the pleasure of working with Manager Tom and his staff of service reps at Car Fix regarding a major problem with my Nissan Altima hood release system. They found the cure and repaired the issue as promised. Tom was very friendly and helpful throughout the whole process making the experience one to remember in the world of great customer service.

DONT trust their initial estimate as they will completely rob you. I tried to get inspection at 2160 Blvd and bald guy Dan said I needed a new engine. Jokes on him I got my inspection somewhere such a pity robbery.
