“While on an out-of-town trip on a Sunday morning, a rear wheel strut broke and was rubbing against the tire. Quick google search and found Mavis. We pulled in and the service was immediate they looked at our car and got to taking care of us. We were very happy to have it taken care of immediately. Very polite and courteous. “Went to Carrier on the recommendation of a family friend and of Le Moyne College staff. I am not from the area. Long story short, I was able to drop off my 20 year old Subaru with clutch problems overnight on a weekend. Doral was able to inspect it the following week, and was able to replace the clutch, do a safety inspection, alignment and recharge the a/c all within the same week. I asked for all the extra services other than the clutch, Doral didn't try to sell me any other services other than what I brought the car in for. He was in communication the whole time the car was in the shop and was clear about what was needed, vs what was not. Charges for the services were very fairly priced, and the car now runs excellent. I appreciated the level of communication and patience Doral had for my questions. Would definitely recommend!”

“A heater hose connection broke on my minivan 2 miles from Cicero on 481. I limped the car there and started making calls , explaining that I was headed to Penneville from three hours away in PA . After contacting several so called repair shops who wouldn’t even consider helping me , I contacted Big Mikes garage . He said he’d get me right in and three hours later I was on my way . Great guy , excellent work and fair prices . Goes to show there are still a few good guys out there , thanks again Mike !”

This location (one of the few I'm told) does NYS inspections. The far bay/lane is dedicated to just inspections, with clear and easy to read signs.
When I pulled up (out front, like a dummy) they were so nice and directed me where I needed to be. They also let me know how long I would have to wait, and it was less than 10 minutes. Not sure if that was just luck, or the time of day I went (weekday, early afternoon). When I pulled in, the process was fully explained to me and the price was mentioned up front. They walked me from my car to the waiting room, even opening the door for me. The politeness was just on a whole other level!
My car was finished not 20-25 minutes later. I used the free WiFi the short time I waited.
The thing that really sets them apart-
My car is a 2023.
My mother also has a 2023.
Her inspection was $21 at the dealership we got the cars at. Mine was only $10 at this location. It was explained to me that, while places 'charge whatever they want', Valvoline goes by NYS price guidelines. I didn't need the $21 inspection (neither did my mother) because of the year it was made. Now, it wasn't just the super politeness, but the incredible honesty that impressed me.
I would like to compliment Timothy (that's what his shirt said anyway)specifically.
I'm known to ask some crazy, strange and unusual questions (that's just how my brain works). I've also never taken my car to get an inspection myself before, so being this was all new to me, I was firing off questions galore. He was so kind and patient. I didn't feel rushed, devalued or made to feel inferior because I have no knowledge of the process or cars in general. He answered every last question I had, taking the time and effort to make sure I understood everything. I would never have the patience to deal with myself, so when people do, and do it well, they deserve all of the gold stars!
Overall, a very pleasant experience. They are quick, but through. Honest and polite. And...very fair.”

“Waited until the last minute for inspection. Yeah, I know. Got there half hour early early according to what their customer service center said was there opening. Customer service was wrong! But, James was very nice and told me what time they actually open, how late they usually accepted cars for inspection and apologized for incorrect information others gave. Went back next morning extra early. Their staff are high energy, friendly and, informative. Did the inspection and installed my new cabin air filter I had with me. Seriously good vibes at this location.”

“Outstanding experience at the Walmart automotive center at the Central Square NY location.(installing new tires)Our suv was taking in as soon as we checked in. I was told the work was going to take about 1 hour, which gave us some time to shop in the store. One hour later my car was done. Great price on the tires and our suv is now running smoothly.
