“Understandable during a remodel everything will not be up to par with some guests standards but the hotel is in the process of a full renovation . The caring and truly amazing staff went above and beyond during our stay. With a little time ,this hotel will be a updated stay convenient to airport and eating and entertainment venues!!!! The Candlewood staff is doing a exceptional job!!!!”
“I've stayed here multiple times, whenever I have a very early morning flight out of Syracuse, they provide a free shuttle to the airport at whatever time you need and it's only 10 minutes away. The woman who drives it is very sweet. The rooms are very nice, large and spacious. They clean them well, it's a really nice place. They have a/c and heating, and actually nice bedding unlike the paper thin sheets other hotels provide. There's a workout room and they have a lot of food options, hot cocoa 24/7. The staff is nice and the rooms are a good price for the quality. I highly recommend for early flights, it's also great for a romantic stay, the shower is more than big enough for two and the beds are very large and plush.
Safety: I feel really safe when I stay here, even when I'm alone, and I'm a woman below 20.”
“This hotel works really well for our family. Suites are well appointed with a kitchenette. The restaurant is great for dinner take out. The do not have daily housekeeping - that's the only downside.”
“What I liked- the convenience, the atmosphere and I loved that there was a nightlight in the bathroom. What I didn’t like- no bedside lamp and not having tables on both sides of the bed. Where’s the other person going to put their glasses and drink?
Noteworthy details: Has two level two chargers with 2 plugs each.”

“My wife and I loved staying here. The gated off-street parking, the helpful staff, the easily walkable places to eat, the really interesting interior architecture, the quiet end-of-the-hall room we occupied, the cafe/bar in the lobby...all of it was really perfect for our visit.Rooms: Interesting architecture and comfortable bed!”
“Beautiful Hotel,so impressed with the Awesome customer service.christina, and Scotty extra kuddos.
We live in Arizona and would stay here again if ever in Saracuse.
Beds pillows are amazing as well!”
“Saturday nights good music good food! Caught Mystyk Groove Machine for great 70's tunes, Owner Wally belts out a strong rendition of GLORIA getting the whole crowd going. Love the kitschy decor with 45 records hanging from the ceiling tiles and board games from way back glued there as well. There is a separate dining room for casual dining. I very much enjoyed the broiled perch with red skin mashed and grilled asparagus paired with a cosmo martini. Fun loving place people are so friendly and service even in a crazy busy night is very good.”
“Very pleasant and friendly staff. Bless her heart, the woman responsible for making the breakfast was so sweet but was working with broken equipment and we were eating faster than she could make things. I hope she gets her oven fixed soon ”

“First off, breakfast is not included, especially if you pay with a discount like AAA. It's about an extra 15 a person a day and they told us we could have bought breakfast vouchers when booking but no option popped up for us since we used a discount. Might be cheaper to not use discounts if that's the case. Breakfast was a wide variety, especially if you upgraded to the hot foods option. In general it was a better breakfast than most and we appreciated the variety of fruits. Downsides were milk 2 days past best by date that we didn't realize until we drank it, and cream filled pastries still half frozen.
Beds were very comfortable though smelled like bleach, which isn't necessarily a completely bad thing.
The pool was nice and warm and visible from half the rooms with the inner courtyard. Rooms were not very soundproof and people coming in from an event did wake us up talking in the hallways.
Bathroom lotions and soaps smelled great but the toilet paper made a shreddy mess and could be upgraded. Ventilation in the bathroom was poor and it took awhile for steam to clear from the mirror after a shower, but the water was nice and hot. Decent hotel, just wish breakfast was clearer when booking.”
“Clean modern style hotel . Great location especially for "inner harbor festivities " As whe we stayed. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.Walkability: There's a fantastic walking trail on the old rail bed. Two good breweries/ restaurants a short walk away. And very large mall close by.”

“To front desk receptionists: Your primary responsibility is to remain at the front—not to wait until someone tracks you down like you’ve gone missing in the back office. Speak clearly and be attentive at all times. And please, do not leave your position until the current conversation or interaction is completely finished. I'm not done yet.”

“This hotel is stunning! The lobby area is top notch and brings rich vibes. It’s right off the thruway which is convenient for people not planning on staying, but there is very little around this hotel to do. I used this hotel previously for a training class. The room was spacious and accommodating to our electrical needs of multiple computers and phone systems. The staff is very helpful and professional as well. Highly recommend”

“Very nice accommodations. Would recommend. 4.7 stars. Rooms need minor maintenance. Needs a deep clean in areas in the room. These are minor issues. I will stay again when in the area. “I’m not a fan of Microtel because of the small rooms. We live fairly close, stayed here because our house was invaded by relatives for a family event. This was clean, convenient with good desk person. I’ve never been to a facility that had coffee in the room with no way to cook it. I guess they expect you to bring your own coffee maker. We like to read in bed, but there wasn’t any light near the bed, no table lamps or overhead lights. Fortunately I’m a hiker and had my headlamp with me. We did not stay for breakfast. (Weekend,2 nights). Room 124”

“It was clean for the most part. I didn't like that the back door lock was broken so anymore could come in and there was a car in the parking lot full of things and no license plate. Seemed a little sketchy”
“It deserves a 5 in every category based on the price. The suites offer COMFORTABLE beds with more than adequate climate controls. This place is CLEAN. The staff at the desk is attentive and the key cards hold their charge. Housekeeping is very pleasant. Microwave/fridge/shower/tv/desk/lighting is all NICE. Breakfast on the house.
D*** GOOD COFFEE in the lobby 24/7 and they make sure its filled because they actually care here. Pretty incredible they are able profit and provide the service they do at the rate they charge. Bravo!!

“Day 2 Edit: The manager moved us to another room and it was definitely much cleaner and nicer. The refrigerator was large and worked well. The manager brought us a hair dryer for the room. He was very apologetic and took responsibility for the issues. He also offered a discount for the inconvenience. If the manager continues to be involved and focuses on his customers like he did in our situation, the hotel will continue to improve and be successful.
Day 1: This is by far one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. We arrived around 7 PM. The first thing we noticed was that the room was dirty. There were bugs in the corners, floors were sticky, the bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned in quite a while under the sink, tile falling off and we found dirt and a small piece of metal in the bed. Then, no refrigerator. We were here for a ball tournament so a refrigerator is important. We thought we'd just deal with not having the refrigerator but when getting ready in the morning there was no hair dryer. I went to the front desk and asked for one, they said they would bring one to me. Waited 20 minutes and went to the desk again. They said they didn't any and many hotels do not provide hair dryers. They were only in their suite rooms...what? I asked to be moved to another room. Of course they said nothing was available currently but they would have a room when we got back later that day. I asked for the manager to call me when he got in at 9...of course no call. He happened to be there when we got back and after continuing to speak to an employee for 15 minutes knowing we were waiting to speak with him, he finally addressed us. We asked him why he hadn't called. He said he didn't get the message. We asked to be moved but again no rooms were available. He basically threw his employee under the bus and did not take any responsibility at all. He was rude and arrogant saying that many hotels don't have hair dryers. He said he would have a refrigerator, hair dryer, and room cleaned by noon. We have stayed in Best Western's before and have been very satisfied. This manager needs a lesson or two in Hotel Management 101. As were talking with the manager, another unsatisfied customer was at the front desk needing a hair dryer and saying how dirty their room was. The manager agreed to bring a hair dryer, refrigerator, and clean the room. He brought the hair dryer and when he came to the room I physically showed him how dirty the room was. He SAW and miraculously found a new room for us. He did apologize over and over and the room we moved is acceptable but the entire hotel needs a lot of cleaning.”

“I feel that this hotel doesn't have the grade he deserves. The place was 100% great. Stayed there for Syracuse Nationals 2025.
The room was renovated and clean, the lobby looks nice, the clerk was great. Absolutely nothing negative!”
“Convenient location close to Airport off highway 11 and interstate 81. Picked nonsmoking room with microwave and little fridge. Decent room with decent breakfast. Will come back.”
