“I recently found myself in a difficult situation I made many calls to TFCU and quite frankly I was given the run around until I went to the credit union location in Massapequa and fortunately I met Cheryl Jacobson and thank goodness I did she was helpful and empathetic and I feel went above and beyond and was not judge mental. She was a breath of fresh air for me. She introduced me to Ray and Anthony they too did try to help Anthony took the time to reach out to me by phone. The situation is unfortunate and I’m sure others find themselves in a similar way. While nothing resolved I do feel better having dealt with Cheryl Ray and Anthony .”

“I've been banking with the bellmore branch for over 10 years and they feel like family from the manager on down the line. It's one of the rare experiences nowadays where you feel like your bank is there to help you. I don't know why people use commercial banks when this option is available. All the branches are better than commercial but I go out of my way when possible to go to Bellmore. Island Fed should use Bellmore as the model to emulate. Kathy ,the branch manager, is the most helpful person I've ever experienced while banking.”

“I always have a great experience at this bank, everyone is so nice & friendly at the Hicksville location. Today I went here because I noticed charges to my account that were not from me & John M was so incredibly helpful. He spent about an hour with me & called the fraud department to dispute the charges & gave me so many helpful tips on how to protect my card info from being stolen. “I loved this bank as NEFCU, as Jovia they still have great service during business hours at the branch, but as the other customer said, beware the 1-800 number on the back of your card. The after hours customer service is horrendous to the point where I purposely wait and call the branch directly the following day. I think the name change and changing everyone's debit/credit cards was a bit unnecessary. Don't fix something that isn't broken.”
