What an amazing day we had with the great folks at Square Eddy!!!! Where to begin? From Lori's warm and friendly welcome in the morning to our amazing guides Julie and Amanda help trek us through a beautiful hike to the Ok-slip falls (highly recommended by the way), to a fantastic lunch, completed with a once in a lifetime trip down the Hudson with laughs, "surfing" and splashes. Great day all around!! Highly highly recommend.

The best rafting outfit on the Hudson. They really are the best when it comes to river knowledge and ensures the group has the most fun possible.Square Eddy also has the best food on the river. Adventures make you hungry and great food makes everyone happier.

I went on a raft down with Hudson with Square Eddy in the summer 2023 and had an amazing time. From start to finish the trip was flawless.Our guide, Linc, was extremely upbeat and knew the river like the back of his hand. Throughout the trip, he had vast knowledge of the Hudson and provided rich history.If you are looking for a rafting guide I highly suggest Square Eddy.

Super friendly and knowledgeable guide named Linc. He knew every rock and rapid throughout the entire tour. Best white water rapid rafting trip I’ve taken. A much more personalized and enjoyable experience than going with a big box company. Felt very safe, and no one went overboard even with 8-10 foot rapids! Lori was very accommodating, even serving vegan options for lunch on the river! What a great experience.

Definitely the best white water rafting experience we’ve had. This place absolutely deserves your attention. We had a party of 10 between 2 rafts and they made it such an awesome experience by keep the whole group together.This is a small time shop with a lot of love and it’s noticed from the very beginning. Their base camp is a cozy shack with chill music playing and just is the best place to just rest and relax. During the rafting we were served homemade turkey wraps and fruits and cookies! After the rafting experience we were allowed to relax at their base camp and enjoy ice cold beverages and it really just felt like a family gathering. It was amazing!The guides, Lori and Linc are phenomenal, knowledgeable and best of all, extremely welcoming and kind. They have a special ability to make you feel very safe on the rapids and will always crack a joke at every turn.Overall, this is probably the go to rafting company in the area as they are truly one of a kind

My friends and I had an incredible and full day on the River with Square Eddy.If I had to guess, I’d say the owners of this company are probably the most experienced guides on the river. Their great attitude and passion are evident and I felt like they were just overjoyed to be sharing the wonders of the river with us.From the safety instructions, to the provided lunch, to the actual rafting - everything was perfect and I remember thinking several times that I was thankful to be with Square Eddy after observing all the different fine folks on the river that daysOne of the people I brought on this trip has a strong fear of water (can’t swim) and was very nervous going into it. Our guide, Lori Phoebe, had him calm, cool, and collected the whole time! He kept saying her voice and instructions were so calming and he even got in the water several times. We all had a great time and are ready to come back for more!

Small time company- the smallest on the river- but they deserve your money! Lori and Link are incredible people and put on a great rafting experience. Spend 5 minutes with them and you'll want to hang out all day.

The river was beautiful and full of rapids, but what really made the day was Lori Phoebe who was excellent! Her knowledge, stories and singing kept us entertained all day long and made the day so memorable. Her homemade snacks are not to be missed either. Props to linc to and his combined effort at the safety briefings

We booked two boats for our family trip in June and it couldn't have gone any better. We were greeted by two very positive, helpful and skilled guides who helped gear up the adults and children. We spent the entire day with them and we all had a blast. The lunch break food was an amazing wrap and they provided us with top notch equipment. We plan on using them every time we're back in the area.

My family and I highly recommend Square Eddy Expeditions for white water rafting on the Hudson River in the Adirondacks. Owners Linc and Phoebe are the best. Experienced knowledgeable certified professionals. They take care of everything. Our day started in North Creek. Breakfast at Izzy's Deli. Check in 9am at base headquarters. There was pre raft training for safety. Outfitter equipment provided. Helmet, wet suit top, life vest, shoes if needed. It was an unforgettable full day rafting class II and III rapids. Linc and Phoebe guide the rafts on a safe exciting wild thrilling adventure. Excellent lunch is provided. There are opportunities for intentional swimming. There is a bonus learning about the history and nature in the Adirondacks. You will not be disappointed. We had an unbelievable awesome authentic rafting experience. It exceeded all expectations. Thank you to everyone at Square Eddy Expeditions.

We love this small operation and great vibes. We had such great experience from the beginning to the end. It was forecasted to rain. They took care of us by providing layers of comfort from head to toe. Linc was our guide. He was knowledgeable and fun throughout the trip. He told great history Adirondack and areas around it. We learned the types of vegetation and stones, etc along the rivers. Linc explained the type of whitewater and swirls to us. He had such great skills to guide us paddle into the ‘vortex water’ and stayed in it. The whole raft was tilted to one side and we were half submerged into the water laughing away. So much fun. Other rafts passed and envied us. There was a raft got stuck on the rocks multiple times and we never did with Linc. It was calm water for the last hour of the ride. We were really tired in the light rain shower. He would allowed us to pull out some snacks and had a picnic on the raft. He was paddling and chatting away with us and made it feel shorter. We had a lunch break by the river. The turkey wrap was refreshing with a twist of slices of apple in it. So yummy. They also provided home made brownie, variety of cookies and some fruits with strawberries, pineapples, figs and tangerines. Very refreshing good mix. When we returned to the site, they provide interesting non-commercial snacks like Organic pineapple with cocoa swirl, potato chips, figs etc. Thanks Phoebe for all the awesome food. Speed Eddy has great communication skills, attention to details and provided excellent services.
