Stumbled on this place when we were in the ADKs hiking. UNREAL chocolate. We tried a bunch of stuff and it was all delicious but the maple chocolate bar and the sea salt dark chocolate bar were my favorite. They were the best chocolate I've ever had. On our way out of town we grabbed a bunch more from a place called Kelly's selling their bars. If you are in the area it is 100% worth stopping in and grabbing a treat!

Small place, staff friendly, helpful and personable. Cider donut truffle was very tasty. The chocolate house is in the NYS pamphlet of haunted places. They offer tours and private tours of 4 or more. We were unable to stay to partake in the tour but asked if they had a book of the history. Unfortunately, at this time, they do not have one and did not divulging any haunted info. Disappointed, but understood, we left happily eating the fall flavored truffles.

My husband and I did the haunted chocolate experience and it was great! All of the staff at Barkeater were super friendly and made our experience enjoyable, including Andrew our guide!

Visiting the region on vacation we did a chocolate making class here and it was SO FUN! The folks here are kind and funny and full of energy. They also really know what they're doing. We've had craft chocolates all over the world and these were some of the best. Great place to buy a self-treat or gifts. We will be back very soon!

We attended the haunted factory chocolate class and had an amazing time! The employees were fantastic! A great w experience, highly recommend if you have a potential ghost hunter in your family, or just a chocolate lover would do!

Fabulous experience making chocolate. An excellent learning experience. So much fun making bars, turtles and chocolate bark! ?My creations include cayenne, cashews, and coconut. A must to add to your itinerary.

Cute little shop with delicious chocolates. I went during a ghost haunt and staff shared stories that were interesting. They have events - I would love to go back for one of the chocolate-making classes.

This was such an enjoyable experience and the chocolate is out of this world. The host made us feel welcome and was very entertaining. A great afternoon. Will definitely return.

My favorite dark chocolate bar so far! The dark Down slider.
I have had fine chocolates from all over & this is my fav dark!!!
I look forward to trying the others. I do wish it was organic!!!! And sugar free. With organic sweeteners like maple ? & honey.
