If I could give 0 stars I would. The old camp owner had this place working like a well oiled machine. She was sweet and all the counselors and employees seemed very happy. Since this new owner took over it's an absolute hot mess. My children have had rotating counselors from people quitting. There aren't nearly as many activities or trips. The new owner made some derogatory comments about my child as well which I overheard. For $7000 a summer, you can find other camps in the area without going to a camp run by a bigot.

My kids went to SSDC since Kindergarten and loved it. My oldest, who is now going into 8th grade, said he wanted to always be a part of SSDC and eventually become a CIT and Counselor. However, since Ms. Chris sold the camp, it has gone downhill in many ways. This the first year we won't be going back based on how the experience of our kids from last summer, which is a big disappointment.

I love this place deep down in my heart because this the place I spent All my summers as a kid.All my summer fun has been at this camp
