As a first time visitor, it took me a minute to find the door! It's not on the street, it's at the back, and all the parking back there is his, though it sorta looks like it all belongs to the police. At any rate, I had to circle the block at least once to figure it out. The entrance makes it feel like a secret, like a speakeasy bookstore or something. But once you're in - there is a LOT to see! I think the whole main floor is new books, the entire upstairs is used fiction plus an event space. There's a third floor somewhere - must be the basement? You can truly get lost in this place.Prices are super reasonable - I walked out with 3 used books, one new Stephen King, and a free advanced reader's copy for $18. I'd love it if this were my local bookstore!

Multiple floors of books and art. Lively bookstore with public events. It's not a library, so don't let loudness surprise you! Great place for finding local author books, supporting both local business and local author/artist. Pretty sure one could request a local author event, if you have a fave in any genre. That's the beauty of local. Over 90 years in business. Seems like success to me.

Very cool place, I could spend hours looking in here. Lots of art, new, used, and antique books, unique decor. The owner was very friendly and helpful. I would love to go back when I have more time to browse!

This is a magical place! The space is huge and beautiful, full of history and character and art. The owner is lovely and passionate and the cats are adorable! The Book Corner is a permanent stop on my annual Niagara trip. My friends and I can spend hours combing thru all three floors of books, playing with musical instruments, chasing cats, and listening to the owner’s (his name escapes me at this moment) incredible stories. So if you, like me, love books, cats, and magical places, please visit and support this amazing establishment! The prices are great too!

We love visiting used book stores while traveling and WOW, don't leave Niagara Falls till you've seen this 96year old, indescribable, 3- floor treasure trove of new/used books, vinyl, t-shirts, posters, and interesting kitch through the decades. A grand piano, drums, organ and marimba in a bookstore? Check. And don't forget to sign the map if you're from out-of- town. Jeffrey, thanks for the experience and glad you're carrying on the family business. It's a beacon of light for sure.

This place is totally amazing. It was the coolest bookstore I’ve ever been to without a doubt, and the owner Jeffrey was really welcoming and helpful and gave me a tour of the place as soon as I walked in. I mostly explored the used section on the second floor, and wow what a fantastic collection and a really fun space. Tons of really cool art, a small stage with playable instruments and audience chairs (for open mics or other events maybe?). The mystery room had a punching bag, a drum set, a game table and plenty of places to sit. The whole place felt lived in and cared for, and there were just stacks and stacks of used books to look through at awesome prices.Since I’m traveling, he offered to mail my books across the country which was so so nice and I got to put my name on a visitor map of the US in the corner. This place was just awesome and Jeffrey was really sweet to chat with. I really loved the eclectic vibe and I welcoming energy of the book corner. I could have stayed for hours! Whenever I’m back in Niagara Falls I will most definitely be back. Thanks Jeffrey for making an already great day trip a perfect one! -Calvin

I am a native Bostonian. I live in western Massachusetts. It's not merely that I've lived in a region with many great bookstores, it's that I live in a region where there are multiple bookstores with national reputations and Wikipedia articles. And in a blasted ruin of a downtown, with many buildings obviously boarded up for decades, I found the best used bookstore I've ever seen.We were in NF on vacation, and in planning the day's travel, I thought, eh, let's check out the local bookstores. So we planned on stopping here for a half hour before moving on to a couple of museums. I won't go into huge detail -- just read the reviews below for the friendliness of the owner, the sheer size of the place, and how it's organized -- or belabor bits like me wearing a sweatshirt my mother gave me 20+ years ago extolling books and cats, and the owner gleefully pointing out the T-shirt on display with the exact same logo HIS mother gave to HIM 20+ years ago.But the selection is gargantuan, and we only covered the first two floors. Just the new books and fiction sections cleaned out our discretionary budget for the trip, and we went well over it to boot. See, for one thing, the prices are staggering: used paperbacks go for a dollar or two apiece, prices I haven't seen for a couple decades at least. I got two almanacs for $5 apiece, one from 1959 and one from 1947. Picked out a new book for my wife for her upcoming birthday, and the owner giftwrapped it for me.So anyway: we wound up buying over $200 worth of books. Far, far too many for us to carry home on the train. No problem: the owner boxed them up for shipping, and we received them today, only three days after we bought them. He said he does a lot of business online, and is willing to look for books on his shelves and ship them. We likely won't get back to the area for a couple years, and will absolutely take advantage of this. I could not recommend this establishment more highly. (Really, folks, don't fret about the location: it's directly across the street from the police station.)

I would have never known how to get in. The front is on Main St but you have to drive around to the back to enter and it doesn't even appear to be a bookstore. As I pulled up there was a guy who I asked if there was a bookstore nearby. He stated; yes you are here as I run the store. You walk in the outer door, turn right then go into the next door, it's nicely labeled on the doors. Then when I stepped inside it was HUGE. You have to see it to believe it. The 1st floor is the new book section, the 2nd floor is the used book section. The basement is the used children book section. YES 3 whopping floors of books.Lots of Star Wars books. The building is old old old and it is aged inside but really, with the amazing amount of books and the super friendly clerk how, I mean how can anyone go wrong. It's one of those places you definitely have to visit when in the area. It's not too far from the Niagara Casino in NY about a 5 minute drive from there. Yes he turns on and off lights from floor to floor but ya gotta save these days. Prices on used books are good. 3-4 on paperback and 8-9 on hardcovers give or take. I can't believe this place has eluded me for so many years as I always look for used bookstores in my travels. I will definitely be going again in the very near future. I don't give out many 5* reviews but with the amount of inventory and super nice employee this place gets 5.Most importantly, get there early you'll need hours!

Besides the actual falls, this was absolute my favorite part of our trip to Niagara. Book stores are always my favorite place to be but this specific book store is a special place. The sheer volume of books was overwhelming. There are 3 full floors of books. They even had a large vinyl record section. We browsed the store for quite a while and I feel like we probably didn't even see half of it because it's so large. But one of the best parts of the store is definitely the owner. He was so inviting and welcoming from the second we walked in. He gave us a tour of the building and pointed out each section to us. There were several musical instruments through the entire store and he encouraged the kids and I to try them all. He even had a theremin that we all got to play. He does events periodically that I will definitely be coming back for! He even had two little book store cats running around that were super friendly. I think I could have spent all day there! His store is definitely a gem and a must visit spot!!

Book Corner is easily the most interesting and entertaining independent bookstore I’ve ever been to. I’ve officially found my go-to reading hangout. Between the three floors of endless choices (new and used), intriguing wall-hangings, and instruments waiting to be played- it’s a reader’s field day. Last but not least, the owner’s kindness is to be noted.Oh, and there’s bookstore kitties too.I highly suggest supporting this local business.

I don't get to The Book Corner nearly as often as I would like. This. Bookshop. Is. WONDERFUL. We have been coming to The Book Corner for years, and always love both the shopping experience, and our book finds we bring home from here. Now, to level-set expectations a bit, it is quite the hodgepodge of a shop. It is three sizable levels of new and used books all curated by a dedicated and incredibly friendly owner who is happy to help with any questions. For any new book purchases you need, The Book Corner is a great option to SHOP LOCAL! :-D The new book selection is sizable, or if something you want is not in stock, it can be ordered. But, in my humble opinion, exploring the used books is where it's at!! Both the second floor and the basement are full of used book treasures. The upstairs has several eclectically decorated rooms, each dedicated to a genre: a sci-fi/fantasy room, a mystery room, a classics room, a romance room, even a large print room, and more. The used books are organized well enough, some sections decently alphabetized by author, where if you are looking for something specific in the used stacks, it can sometimes be hunted down, depending how rare it is. On a recent Valentine's weekend visit with my husband, we spent an hour'ish poking around the store together, and both found a few sweet goodies. I snagged some used sci-fi, and a classic I've been wanting to own for a while (Abbot's Flatland). My husband grabbed a new book at the recommendation of the owner. And actually, I'm going to wrap up this review so I can get back to enjoying my books!! If you love to read, know someone who loves to read, sort of like to read, are literate at all, or want to learn how to read, all of the above should visit The Book Corner. It is an absolute gem of a locally owned longstanding bookstore that is a total joy to patronize. (Oh, and there is plenty of free parking in the rear lots too!)

I went for the used books, there was no shortage. I was almost overwhelmed. The service was great and so were the prices. Can't wait to go back.!

Jeff is very friendly and helpful. This place gives to the old feel of a neighborhood book store yet has all the updates needed to find what your looking for. Personally..I find nothing more injoyable than an old fashioned printed book, a cat on my lap and an old friend to talk to. Thank you Jeff! - Bee

If you are a book lover, then you should definitely drop in. I always try to go to an independent bookstore when I go on vacation, and I think The Book Corner has been my favorite so far. The owner is super friendly and they have a huge collection of new and used books in all different genres.
