Scouring local service stations on Google and Yelp I opted for the 4.9/5 390 votes google star, Taber Auto Ithaca NY. A very common feature for each review was the service quality, integrity and kindness of Louis. Louis answers the phone, follows up with each client, told me the truth and fixed my service issue. Today my rear brake job was completed after status updates throughout the morning from Louis. The job was completed under the EOD promise time, and Taber auto also completed my inspection. Louis went further to say he would have passed me before begining the work as my rear brakes were within allowable tolerances. Now I will visit Taber Auto for all of my repairs. A wise mentor once told me, people go where they are made to feel welcome and stay where they are treated well. Louis treated me well and I plan to stay with Taber Auto.”
“Kyle Shelato was an impossible customer to please. He is currently still driving his vehicle, with the Transmission we installed! As you can see he was quick to make several assumptions. The fact of the matter is, he dropped his vehicle off "in no hurry to get it back." $400 was taken off his total bill, due to the fact that there were issues beyond our control getting his Remanufactured Transmission in the time we had promised. After receiving his vehicle he chose to take it to the dealer, rather than contacting us regarding a leak, that turned out to be caused from a leaking transfer case seal. Even though the cause of the leak had nothing to do with us, or our work, we still paid half of the cost he acquired by taking it to the dealer. We also mailed his warranty information to him as promised. We are a small family owned and operated business established in 1993, and we take great pride in our work. We are more than willing to go above and beyond to help our customers in their time of need. As you can see though, some customers aren't pleased no matter what you do.”
