Walgreens holds a special place in my life. They are a very old company. I decided to stop in this location because I was in the neighborhood. I don't like stores that are not on the ground floor. This location is multilevel with an escalator to go upstairs. I took a quick look around and decided I wouldn't waste my time here. I prefer the Walgreens uptown! If you desperately need something this Walgreens is here!

It's convenient for me to order things online at this place then in 30 minutes to pick up. They really have the basics if I need as emergency. The store though, is not super organized and the staff is just okay. I mostly just order online then pick up.

I had the best customer experience at a drug store ever in my life at this Walgreens just now - amazing enough to come write a review! Two separate employees (maybe one was a manager?) went above and beyond to help me with my simple requests. I felt seen and taken care of and very welcomed. Amazing customer service with what felt like genuine care and friendliness. 10/10!!!

I can't believe the woman that works here as a 'manager' Horrible staff! The assistant manager-or at least she stated she was...I cannot believe the way she spoke to us Lazy as lazy can be Came down the escalator yelling at me 'know my job...don't you be talking I don't know my sh*~...you need to step off- She continues Never have I ever been treated like this Customers around me were appalled She should be dismissed immediately not only for the nasty disposition, the way she scolded a customer but for the language she used Waving her hand and laughing, while calling names I'm done And so will my office of 500 that use this location as we work across the street CVS is closer anyway

The guy who rang up my purchase was rude and seemed more interested in talking to his coworkers than dealing with a customer. He did not ask for my rewards card, he did not want to give me a receipt, and he acted insulted because I asked him to put my purchases in a bag. I tried to complete the online survey but Walgreens does not care about your opinion after three days. This is an onerous restriction for people on vacation. Simply getting to the error message was complicated because of the numbers that have to be copied from the receipt and the website does not even automatically advance to the next field.

Well placed Walgreen's. This location is two floors - 2nd floor is typical Walgreen's while the first is more of a mini grocery store - Manhattan priced of course. For convenience to get a snack, a pre-made sandwich or such, drinks - this is pretty ideal for something quick and on the go and being at the Empire State Building, they put themselves in a relatively great area. We just needed drinks, but either the drinks were just stocked or the fridges are on the fritz, because nothing was cold. This was all of the ones we wanted - from soda to water. Points off for that one. Browsing the selection on the bottom floor, it's not a bad option in the area. Never made it to the second floor - in which you can take stairs or an elevator to. Staff was basic and pretty non-existent. All in all, not bad if you're looking for something that Walgreen's typically carries or a beverage (if refrigerated)/snack on the go. I'm not so sure I would take a pre-made item from here (like a salad/sandwich), but at least it's also an option. Just expect Manhattan pricing in a heavily touristy area.

Nice location in the Empire State Building. Great location right? Easy to find for sure. We were staying in Harald Square on 36th Street so this Walgreens was just around the corner pretty much. It's your basic drug store. All the typical stuff "drug stores" carry. Prescriptions, and all your over the counter needs, aspirin, Motrin, cold medicines all that kinda of good stuff. Shampoos and soaps, cosmetics and other health and beauty aid studs. You know what this is a great for? If you are staying at a hotel in the area and you forget something while traveling, this place has everything you may have forgotten. This store is also loaded with snacks, cookies, crackers, gum, candy, candy and more candy. Yummy. They also have a nice selection of New York souvenirs. Coffee cups, tee shirts and other trinkets. Prices are reasonable and the employees are pretty nice. This is a decent store. Remember it's here when you visit the Empire State Building in case you need something. We had forgotten a couple items and it was nice to be able to find what we needed so easily and close.

I had a horrible experience at Walgreens today. I find it especially enraging due the fact that the Starbucks and LA fitness incidents involving racial discrimination is barely cold. Before I start describing the incident I want to say I'm a person of color, 5'1" on a good day and I'm very petite and often get mistaken for a highschool student. As you can imagine I am pretty unintimidating. I had just come out of the Empire State Building with my family and I decided I needed some hand lotion. I was looking for it in the nail care section as I had mistakenly assumed that's where hand care would also be. If you've been to this particular Walgreens before you'll know that this area is actually in a corner which seems like it isn't frequented often. As I'm looking for the lotion, a woman who works there shows up with a security guard and asks me what I'm doing back there extremely rudely. I tell her I am looking for hand lotion and she tells me again very rudely that I need to follow her. The security guard accompanies us also to the other side of the store. When I ask her if this is there full selection she again talks to me like I'm doing something wrong. I can't even explain her tone to me. It was as if she caught me doing something wrong but she couldn't prove it. She watches me as I pick my lotion and hand it to my brother so that he can pay for it. I felt gross after the whole incident. If being a person of color and looking lost in a store is doing something wrong then arrest me. I personally don't think I needed to be escorted to the other side of the store by a 200+ lb woman and a security guard. I felt discriminated against and I'm so very disappointed that Walgreens would do this in such a diverse city. I will not be coming back. I do think Walgreens needs to send their employees to racial sensitivity training so they can learn not all people of color are there to steal.
