“After being given the "bum's rush" out the door because greedy HSBC Bank was exiting all their retail banking services, I was forced to vacate my safe deposit box and close out all my accounts. I was left out in the cold worrying about where to secure all my valuable paperwork which included deeds, service discharge papers, and a who slew of documents which filled a rather large box. Chase stepped up to the plate and I was not only able to get a safe deposit box gratis but was also able to link all my Chase accounts dating back some 40+ years. I now no longer waste hours having to trek into Manhattan (ugh!) each time I need to access my safe deposit box but just walk a block for banking nirvana. No more putting up with HSBC attitude with difficult to understand accents but have overly generous perks which I had to pay for previously at greedy HSBC. This includes interest on all my Chase accounts including savings, but more importantly interest on my checking accounts. Checks are FREE, ATM fees are waived, but more importantly no more costly annual rental fees for safe deposit boxes. Retail banking is slowly going by way of the dinosaur and I pity those of very modest means being gouged by all these banks and this includes both friends and family. Sign of the times and expected to grow even worse. Finally many thanks to William Zhang, a very gifted Chase employee who made my transition from evil HSBC to Chase a bit less stressful. Now if only Chase will staff multiple teller windows (versus just the one...ugh!) and bring back notary services it will be epic and worth shouting from the rooftops.”

“The new station is so beautiful- light, airy- a million times better than the old station for Amtrak. There's a fancy entrance with skylight and escalators at 33rd and 7th (you see a perfectly framed view of the Empire State Building as you ride up the escalator), but this is not the quickest entrance for direct access to Amtrak; the entrance on 33rd and 8th is the most direct access to Amtrak (this entrance is on the side with the iconic steps on the outside). There are several waiting/lounge areas for Amtrak passengers. Unfortunately, the gorgeous looking Metropolitan Lounge on the second floor is only for certain passengers (Acela, first-class, Guest Rewards Select Plus and Select Executive). Still, the new lounge areas for the rest of us are still petty nice. Finally, I think the extra space has allowed Amtrak to make boarding a less crazy affair- clearer announcements, earlier boarding. Overall, a gigantic improvement- I always loved Amtrak and I love heading to the station, too.”

“This is a pretty spacious dedicated ATM location. Most ATM locations feel as if they're an afterthought. The machines are stuffed in a narrow area and are more like telephone booths. This ATM location is different. When walking into the doors, the bank is straight ahead and the ATMs are in a dedicated space to the right. There's lovely art on the wall (Wells Fargo logo) and chairs in this foyer area BEFORE you get to the ATM room. You'll need your bank card during off hours to get in, but I love the design here.”

“I wanted to share my experience this morning with Personal Banker Travis Frejoles. He addressed my request promptly and professionally, after having had a very poor experience last week with a customer service representative over the phone. In short, Travis restored my good feelings about Citibank. If you want excellent and friendly service don't pick up the phone - stop in and ask for Travis Frejoles.”

“Super convenient. Easy access to two bus lines. HOWEVER, sometimes unwanted visitors are there loitering seeking shelter. Makes the situation a little wary considering money is involved.”

“Overall: I would be open to ordering from Beatnic again. I wouldn't get a cookie, because that doesn't seem worth it to me, but the fries and burger are definitely good for their price. If you're in a position to dine-in, definitely do so, but if ordering out, you may need to reheat your food.Details (+prices):My food was cold when it was delivered to me, but I don't think this is a problem with the restaurant, probably the fact that it was delivered. Will be reheating my food next time!I ordered the classic burger ($9.95). As someone who eats meat, I definitely didn't miss having meat in this burger. The flavors in the burger were good. The sauce especially was very tasty. The pickles in the burger were phenomenal. They had the perfect balance of vinegar and sweetness, and were wonderfully crunchy. My one complaint about the burger is the bun. It wasn't warm and soft like the buns for burgers from other places. It's like if you made toast for breakfast, but forgot about it until dinner. The bun definitely suffered as a result of getting cold. The fries ($4.50) I ordered were also cold. The cut was nice and thick, which I enjoy. They're not heavily salted, so I could really taste the fluffy potato inside. I ordered mine with the chipotle aioli, which was a little tangy for my taste, but it had a pleasant amount of heat. If they were warm, they would definitely be crispyI also ordered an apple pie cookie ($4.00). The temperature didn't matter with this. The apple filling was only in the middle of the cookie, so you had a crunchy outer ring and chewy middle of the cookie. The powdered sugar on the outer rim was nice and really helped make that part tastier. The filling had the texture of actual apples ( like if you tried to make homemade apple sauce), so it was nice. I didn't find the cookie tasting like apple pie, but its a good cookie nonetheless.”

“I have been a customer for about 20 years. I have always received friendly, efficient service, although I never needed much. Recently I have used more services for family affairs, and I'm really impressed with the kindness & patience I've been shown. I mainly deal with Buraq, but others are nice too.”

“My favorite customer service rep is now working at this citibank branch on the upper east side and I don't mind walking the extra few blocks cause when I have some banking issues , need banking info or whatever needs to be done I can relax knowing she will handle it all with ease and when it comes to my money I don't play game and I expect my bank to do the same. With all this covid 19 madness still going on ,citibank makes seeing a customer service representative quick and easy and I got the proof I needed , the check was received and cashed by so and so , so kick rocks mr you know who. THANK YOU CITIBANK”

“I switched to this bank and the process was easy. I like the products and service I get here and have been getting the same every branch I go. The bank itself is more on the inconvenient side of the spectrum compared to other banks but it's worth it.”

“I've been a Citibank customer since 1995 and have always felt they were a good financial institution. They had online banking long before others did, if I recall correctly. My frustration now, is that I live in a city where there are NO Citibank branches or for that matter ATM's which means that I will likely have to change banks. Come on Citi - open branches in San Antonio, Texas!”

“The elderly lady in front of me initially started cursing about how long the line was. It's plain ol' disturbing to hear a senior citizen say "Where are the f*cking tellers?!?", even in this age of tactlessness. But the line moved so fast, and/or she was so two-faced, that she was chatting up the teller about her snazzy new haircut by the time she got serviced. The tellers here have the patience of Job, I swear. And there's a bowl of free candy! Yay!”

“I came in here a little after 12 on a Thursday afternoon to order a new debit card. There were 2 guys at computers who were directing people who needed assistance. They were both very nice and one of them asked me to wait in the "waiting room" for someone to help me. The waiting room was just a few randomly placed chairs in an area close to the door. There was already someone waiting, and after I sat, another woman joined us. The man that we were all waiting for had been talking with someone when I walked in. Based on their expressions, It looked like they were having a friendly conversation not related to banking. After about 5 minutes, the original guy whispered to the man I was waiting for and pointed at me. I sat down and was quickly taken care of. I even got my new card while I waited, which I thought Would be mailed to me. The whole process took 10 minutes, but I could have been out even sooner if there were more people available at their desks.”

“The personnel at this bank are *terrific*! I went there today just to transact routine business, and the teller - Jennifer - was *incredibly* friendly. A really nice thing is that she noticed how the intense heat & humidity had affected me, so she went and got me some water. The teller next to her was also very friendly. Meanwhile; when I'd first arrived, there were several people in line and I decided to sit & wait until (hopefully) the line was shorter (I'm still recovering from surgery for a broken hip and I was in a lot of pain after walking quite a distance). A very nice woman named Ashley approached me, thinking that the reason why I was sitting was in order to see a banker (and btw, there were several chairs & they were comfortable) - but when I explained about my situation, she immediately offered to stand in line for me until she was at the point of being first in line. That was incredibly thoughtful of her, and it was another example of the terrific people working there (and as an aside, the line moved *really* quickly; much faster than at almost any bank branch I've ever been to). Lastly, I complimented the manager before leaving and she was quite kindhearted. Very impressive all-around!”
