The worst Bank service ever, they don’t do their work properly, since they are located in NYC, I thought they would have better service than India but they prove me wrong and I am sorry to say this they don’t speak English well, they show their attitude as if we asking money from them, and VP is biggest chutiya you ever seen in your life, avoid going here, it’s useless bank. I don’t know how they surviving. ??

Over all average service , employees not very helpful or cooperative with customers , not as consumer friendly as Americans banks are.

Definitely unprofessional service here. Not feeling welcome in, not asking questions or checking with customers. Please management should do something to get better. This is very consistent everytime come in.

Worst banking experience ever. The VP of the bank does not have any idea of terms and policies. After explaining the trouble accessing online account, the reply from bank executive was “okay”. No solution provided.They are unaware of global helpline contact information for SBI.No one answers the call, if you try calling them it will always direct you to voicemail.

Continues to be One of the worst banks ever. No one from customer care picks the call ever. Drove 2 hrs and Went to the bank to exchange the INR 2k notes that are now withdrawn in India. Bank didn’t take them. I Asked about RBI circular and they denied upfront. No process, no courtsey. Very disappointing

What a rip off. Even basic services that everyone else provides for free are charged. I wanted to transfer money online from my sbi new york account to my local bank here in US. The only provision they have is a wire transfer with a $25 fee. Not to mention myriad charges of one type or another. HOW GREEDY CAN THEY GET.

DO NOT GO TO THESE PEOPLE.SBI customer service has proven to be the worst in the past and this bank takes it to a whole new level.Rakesh (the bank manager) and Lokesh the new account opening department do not understand customer service at all.I went to this bank after calling them about process to open a new checking account. They shared me a from and a bunch of documents needed on an email. I was told to visit in person to open the account. I took a 2 hour train ride followed by 30 min cab ride and spent $60 to get to the bank. After getting there, I was told they can’t open my account due to a wired immigration requirement even though I have a valid immigration status.I was never told about this requirement on call and even their forms do not contain this requirement but they quoted this as their policy!How are they allowed to get away with this?Ultimately they made me go back without opening an account and I spent all this time money and energy for nothing.SBI has the worst customer service in this world and this incident just validated it further.

Had been trying to reach the New York branch but no one answers the call nobody acknowledges to call I really do not know what's going on this is the kind of customer service we getting I really cannot drive to New York for just asking one simple question I wanted to get the Swift code for my branch in Rajasthan and that is no any answer if anybody knows please let me know

Tha sbi staff was very rude .first things thay don't know how to talk to the valuable sbi customer ,they are even not giving only one single kyc form just telling this is USA brunch ,we don't know about Indian guidelines .

This Bank staff is very professional. Particularly, I had pleasant experience with Ms Rashmi. She is excellent and fast in responding to requests and questions. She is knowledgeable on Bank's CD products and goes above and beyond to resolve your banking experience to be smooth and hassle free.

I have been told that this SBI is completely separate entity from SBI in India and they can’t help with anything regarding Indian Accounts. They don’t even have ATM. Please call and confirm if you are planning to visit for account opened in India.

It is the most pathetic bank in the world. At every corner of this bank, you name it from branch manager to customer care centre person, you will be misguided and all you have to do is just hang in there and plan few trips to sort things out.I’m looking forward for a day where this bank will be privatized and things would improve.
