Living at South Park Tower has been a pleasure. Great location, great gym/amenities, great staff, quiet, and overall a nice community!

I have lived in NYC for several years and this building is by far a favorite. From the beginning , the leasing office has been great as is the management staff. The amenities are also exceptional, no excuse not to work out . You can easily get around the city via subway from Columbus Circle and there is also a garage attached to the building that is a huge convenience for weekend commuting

Front desk & staff are lovely! Always friendly, always helpful. Have really enjoyed living here, & being so close to Whole Foods!

The process of viewing the apartment, to application and approval was seamless. So far I am very pleased and would highly recommend.

The process of signing a lease at South Park Towers has been nothing short of amazing. From the initial viewing of our beautiful new one-bedroom unit to the seamless 24-hour application process, every step has exceeded our expectations. Emma, the leasing associate, has been incredibly helpful and made the entire experience stress-free. We were pleasantly surprised by the great price offered for such a nice building and unit. Highly recommend this building and I hope to live here for many years.

I love South Park Tower. Ive been a resident for almost 5 years and I can't say enough good about the building both onsite staff and the onsite leasing team are outstanding! In particular LEO and EMMA in the leasing office are amazing!! They have both gone above and beyond countless times to ensure my comfort and happiness. They make me feel like a VIP- very accommodating and kind- it's like I have family looking out for me in the building. I highly recommend South Park Tower - it is truly a special place!

I have been been renting at South Park Tower for the last year and absolutely love it here. I was excited to learn that a larger apartment in the building with even more spectacular views became available so I just signed a new lease for it! Both Leo and Emma in the rental office were so kind and helpful throughout the whole process. They were not only the ultimate professionals but so nice as well and patient in ansering all my questions. They made the experience so easy.

Honestly I never write reviews but this building deserves it. Today I came in to view a unit and the broker was extremely rude. He literally didn’t allow me to take a video of the first unit to show my wife (she couldn’t come in because she got sick and I told him that right away as the appointment was under her name). This guy goes on to show me another unit where I had my wife on FaceTime before entering the unit so that I can show her the apartment since he wasn’t letting me take videos(I actually liked the apartment and was really considering moving into this building instead of the aro building). The dude goes on to tell me “please hang up the phone and put your phone away, the videos are on the website if you want to show your wife the unit”. I literally put my phone away and just walked out the unit because the guy started getting on my nerves at that point. As I’m waiting for the elevator, this guy has the audacity to come up to me and speak to me as if everything is okay. He goes on to say “your appointment was at 1 PM and you showed up at 2, I have other appointments”, to which I replied under my breathe “no it wasn’t” (my appointment was at 2:30 and I showed up at 2:15). I said it under my breathe because I was trying to avoid altercation with this scumbag. He goes on to ask me with an attitude “what did you say?”. When I tell you, it took all of me to hold myself back from this guy in that elevator, I really mean it. What an unprofessional person…he completely threw my train of thought off the apartment and I was actually considering living here. After this terrible viewing experience, I go home to my wife, and onto the building website and when I click on the unit I was interested in to show my wife the video, the video doesn’t work. I will 100% not be living in this building especially after reading these reviews and by the way, the building is 100% outdated and the only reason I even considered living here is because of the neighborhood. What a terrible experience, my advice to this building, explain to your broker that he doesn’t pay no one’s rent and that he’s a total nobody to command potential tenants on what to do. I will update this post tomorrow with his name when I find his card in my car.Update: the guys name is Leonardo Sheppard.

Can attest to insane rent increase, water shut off due to construction, unresponsive management and thin walls. Post the worst of covid, the increased my rent by 40% (higher than market then) and when i said i was going to move out, they said I could negotiate. I didnt want to negotiate, I just wanted a fair increase. The management is never available to talk/answer your questions, they do shut off elevators and water as they are renovating every apartment.I lived here for 1 year and saw the downfall in the neighborhood (increasing homelessness and dirt around me, making it unsafe to walk late at night). On the plus side, the maintenance and lobby staff is really nice. The apartments are huge for nyc, i wish they had more closet space but you can always add more storage. The roofdeck is a good touch and the indoor pool is nice as well. I wouldnt live here again but I did enjoy my time here

TL;DR: It’s a tourist building. If you’re not one and want to stay more than a year, stay away.Longer version:They wanted to increased my rent by *60% in 2022, we negotiated it down to 40% and I was told “That’s just post-Covid readjustment. We’ll only have ~modest~ increases in the future”. They’re increasing it by 15% this year ? literally speechless

Major issues with security and safety. Way too easy for the wrong person to get in.Water shut-offs nearly every month.Elevators always have major problems—like not registering a floor when pressed or getting stuck.Rent hikes are insane. More than doubled.A/C is off in the halls consistently.Walls super thinDeliveries constantly getting misdirected. Calls to my apt for someone elses food/groceries.This is not a true luxury building. Prices do not reflect the true nature of how poor the quality has degraded to. Exceptionally greedy leasing office. No care for great tenants or loyalty. Poor upkeep.

After 30 years as a tenant, my rent almost doubled during covid so I had to move out. No negotiations were possible. Greed ruled the day for this landlord, as it does for all.

2 Year resident. Love the building, staff, location, my unit, etc. However, my wife was verbally abused and threatened in the laundry room by a porter named Jose. She is a petite woman and feels uncomfortable doing laundry in her own home. I will amend this 1 star review if he is removed.
