Amazing place that I stumbled upon on my way to McNally Jackson bookstore on Prince. I ended up buying 4-5 magazines that I couldn't find anywhere else. They have loads of international magazines including ones that are older, back even a couple years so something I cannot even find online was hidden away - and one of the staff asked me if I needed help and when I gave it a shot and asked (thinking he wouldn't even know what issue I was referring to), he pulled it out instantly, handed it to me, and said it was the last copy as it was a collector's item. What a store!

Can’t read the magazines before you buy, staff is particularly difficult about it and uncooperative, highly recommend any of the other places in the area Casa magazines especially. their reply is not usually happy to assist like they say below.

A creatives insomniac dream. I use to go here all the time during the bewitching hours of 3-4am when they were opened 24/7 before the pandemic. Now when I do have to time to stop by before their new hours, I've been bringing my friends in the industry to this place and the vibe has changed. I can't help but to feel like I'm being treated like I'm ABOUT to shoplift. A friend I took here one night after fanellis pulled me aside during one of my super excited discovery of a new publication I spotted there, she whispered to me "that guy is staring at us with such malice" she told me she felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave- FIRST OF all what publishing enthusiasts like us would come in and know every new release, get happy and giddy, about it and what the workers take that as JUST WBOUT TO SHOPLIFT?? And the crazy thing is that I've kind of just ignored it until she voiced it to me- meaning they know me and they know I have purchased several of my favorite overseas art collectives?? It made me sad. And sad for my friend. I rather support mcnallys and where they don't inflate their prices for arbitrary reasons. Plus some of the publications they carry won't allow for just one of the copies to be unsealed so we can flip through them. These guys are just in this newspaper stand business I guess bc anything I ask them inquiring about the specifics of publications and when it was released or this and that. They have no clue.

This is one of the few places in NYC besides a B&N that carries a great selection of magazines. I know because I was looking. Comedian Dave Chapelle was in line in front of me.

Incredible selection of magazines and journals, but they upcharge by an insane amount and go out of their way to put stickers over cover prices to hide it. I've shopped here a few times over the years and don't remember them doing that in the past. I understand it's hard to keep a business running in an expensive city, but I'd gone here because I wanted to support a smaller local place and this ended up leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe come here if you need an unavailable back issue, but if it's current issue, you can find it somewhere else in the city for the fair cover price.

Guys, be careful ! Always ask for a receipt. The guy charged me $ 6.77 for only one small bottle of Snapple juice.I know I can't get refunded because I don't have the receipt. They still ur money legally.

I go here instead of Casa in the West Village now because though it is not large, it is larger than Casa - which is simply too small and too chaotic to even be a pleasant experience. Soho News has some things Casa does not and they have more back issues as well. It's unfortunate that the city does not have a well designed, attractive, customer-oriented news/magazine store. Tyler Brule, where are you?

Great shop for... Well everything! I've purchased everything from a paint brush, double-sided tape, tooth paste, energy drinks, to magazines. The staff is so friendly, which is a rarity in the city. Highly recommend.

They have everything and like most newsstands, price gouge the hell out of the magazines. I bought a magazine that retails for $4.99 and they jacked up the price to $14.99. I don't buy from places like this often so I didn't care. But just know that the markup here at least 30%, if not more. The convenience of them selling pretty much any magazine you want is obviously the draw here, especially since you can't find a decent magazine selection anywhere else.

Won't go to Soho News International anymore. They charged my magazine (BUTT) for $25, when in fact it should be $13. I asked them about the price difference, and they lied to me saying that it's a limited edition, but it isn't. A week later I went to Magazine Cafe in midtown, and they were selling BUTT indeed for $13.
