This bank offers ZERO service. Make virtually any kind of deposit and the bank shuts you down from using their mobile features for a MONTH! Can you believe that? If you want to bank remotely in the 21st century, you will need to wait another decade or two for this crummy "bank" to enter it also with their technology. Look for a real bank!

to ALL present/future customers, please beware that this bank is hard to deal with. I rarely check my bank statements and only found out at a later time that I had fraudulent charges of a total of $160 stolen from my account by the Notorious Swindler NYSC (New York Sports Club) @ 125th ST for a continuous of 6 months AFTER I cancelled my membership in person 6 months before. I immediately called my bank to dispute the charges, and 125th's New York Sports Club FORGED DOCUMENTS stating that I did not cancel the membership until the day I called my bank (LOL)! This garbage of a bank actually believed them and refused to refund me those FRAUDULENT charges. I have called in multiple times to request a copy of the document sent to Santander BY NYSC, yet they did not bothered with my request at all, until i had to give up as I was exhausted with it. PLEASE AVOID THIS BANK AT ALL COSTS IF YOU CAN!!! THEY RUN A FRAUDULENT BUSINESS WHICH ALIGN WITH OTHER FRAUDULENT BUSINESSES.

I really wish that I could applaud this branch for their customer service, but every time I go in there to solve a problem I am met with intense resistance. Instead of following the cardinal rules of customer service and trying to solve my issues, I’m met with lack of knowledge and an inability to work through any problems. I’m constantly told no, I’m charged hidden fees, I’m faced with breakdowns in their internal communications... it’s truly mind blowing. I have to carve out hours of my day each time I need to go to the bank, because I know it’s going to be a whole fiasco. I’ve banked with them for over a decade, but I think that between the issues with the corporation as a whole and the seemingly lack of desire to put in more than a nominal amount of effort by the staff at this branch, it’s time to take my service elsewhere.

WORST BANK EVER! I opened an account at their Secaucus NJ branch after receiving a promotion indicating a $300 bonus after 90 days. I met all obligations of the offer (direct deposit, monthly transaction, etc.) and never received the $300 bonus. I received an email 60 days into the promotion stating both the evaluation date and posting date for the $300. The $300 never came. I called the bank. I was told it would be 3 weeks more AT LEAST. I spoke to a Supervisor. I was told "we will honor the promotion" but we "can't tell you if/when the money will be deposited". So, even with marketing material in my hand and an email from the bank stating the deposit date of the $300 they did not deliver the money and now I'm told they can't tell me if/when they will. THIS BANK IS A BUNCH OF CHEATS. Apparently they will SAY whatever they need to in order to get your money but, they do not honor previous statements/promises made IN WRITING on THEIR letterhead which led you to put your money with them. LIARS and CHEATERS. They owe me $300 and I will be taking every legal remedy available to get my money. I kept my end of the deal and all they did was take my money!!!!

I have never been so furious, dissatisfied, disappointed, disgusted and felt so taken advantage of by any bank. However, Santander Bank is the worse!!! Not Even Credit Card Companies pull this kind of business upon their consumers. I prepaid a few months on my car loan and when I made the next 3 payments all 3 payments were applied to Interest only even though I wasn't due for a few months. They accrued the interest anyway as if i was behind on my loan, so my balance for 3 months stayed the same. So it doesn't benefit you to prepay to get ahead with Santander Bank, this is a complete rip off no matter how they explain it, not even the credit cards do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never again Im going to another bank - Good ridden Santander!!!!! You are a racket bank you are not for the consumer at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice way how you portray one thing on your commercials and do completely the opposite to your clients.....

The absolute worst!!!!!!!!! This is the worst bank I've ever dealt with. They will waste your time, overcharge you, and respond to everything with an incompetence that seeks to just make you go away so they can get away with abusing you. There are so many banking options, don't bother with Santander. JC was assisting me with COOP purchase at first he was pleasant but didn't last long. I told over 1000 times in person, on text, in email are you sure your bank deals with this specific COOP. His answer was of course I have been doing this over 20 years, after 2 months of wasting my time and dealing with this he said our bank doesn't work with this COOP. 1) I wasted time, in 2.5 months I would have closed with Citizens 2) Rates kept going up and still not locked 3) Made me pay for fees when wasn't sure if they could make this deal or not.... of COURSE I LOST MY MONEY Please Please Please do yourself a favor and read the reviews before signing anything with them!!!

Worst bank ever. Their policies on various transactions are ancient. Their customer service will try to kill you with kindness but the end result IS ALWAYS I'm sorry, I understand, it's the bank policy and I can't override it. BS!!! One example...I went to dinner on Thursday night, my bill was $385 for me and two friends. The next morning I look at my checking account and two charges appear...one for the bill before tip and one prior to my adding the tip. The transaction for the bill including the tip posted on Friday. The bill prior to me adding my tip still pending on the following Tuesday!!!! 5 days later.....and they haven't released the money back to me. Every customer service rep claimed its the restaurants fault. Well, you can see they got their money the very next day, Friday! Tuesday when I called they wanted the restaurant to send a letter on their letterhead advising they received their money and can release the pending charge on my account. REALLY?!!!! I have to go through all this?! Stay away....far away from this bank. There are better out there that don't have these ridiculous policies and procedures that hold up YOUR MONEY!

I Love this bank. This is my favorite location. The workers are very pleasant and they go out of their way to help you. I even get 20 bucks a month just for banking with them. You cant beat that.

if you have any kind of accounts, watch out! Check to make sure they've fully updated your profile correctly. Sovereign Bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Spanish Santander Group now, the transition was so scary. Local office database doesn't really match the corporate database, their staffs are not fully trained as far as on what is going on. One of the perfect example that made me closed my accounts was my phone no. They were using my old phone no which is no longer used by me but owns by someone else... plus many more, in otherwords they screwed up on my accounts.
