I needed a notary. Upon entering the bank, I was approached by a woman, presumably a bank employee. I asked her for the notary and she asked me what type of document I had. Before responding, I asked if she was the notary and she said no. I then told her that my document was between the notary and me and that it was personal. The notary then approached and told me that she is studying for the notary exam. I felt that she was intrusive especially with privacy such a problem today. The notary was cold and was clearly on her side. Lastly, all employees were unmasked.

Sleazy, rude liars, terrible customer service and a bunch of typical cliched bigots. You’d be insane to believe anything they say.

When all major banks reject my coins, this bank opens their door for me and free of charge. Providing coin counting machine free of charge is a great strategy to attract new customers and a great way to give back to the community.

Great in-person experience. Debit card printed on the spot, no-fee checking and a $100 minimum for a savings account to avoid fees. The branch itself is exceptionally clean and modern. I've been in quite a few other local banks over the years, and this one in particular feels the most inviting. The staff was very helpful. I interacted with multiple employees and everyone was friendly and made me feel valued as a customer. The no-fee coin counting is really convenient. They're also open 7 days a week, and 7pm on all weekdays. Overall a very positive vibe and they made it very seamless for me to switch from another bank with not-so-great customer service.

Seriously a great bank with helpful people. They let you deposit coins - for FREE! Like the old Commerce Bank did before TD Bank ruined it. Shout out to Tanya Wallace who also helped me set up an account. Will be switching my biz accounts here most likely. Good COVID precautions as well!!!

A few weeks ago, I was walking down 14 Street when I noticed conspicuous signs which stated that this new bank was opening. What caught my attention was that it said that there was free coin counting. When I saw that, I died and gone to heaven. I returned to Republic Bank with $160 worth of coins. I like to save loose change and put it in a jar. Then, when the jar is full, I'd take it to Coin Star. I'd exchange the coins for dollars, deposit the cash into my bank account, and then spend the money on a nice mini-vacation. The only caveat is that Coin Star charges a 11% "transaction fee." So basically, I actually lost money by using Coin Star. Several other banks, including TD Bank and Capital One, used to have coin counting machines but gradually phased them out since they felt that maintaining it wasn't worth the hassle. In addition to the coin counting machine, I also liked the pleasant ambiance, convenient hours, and attractive tellers. If there were more locations in the city then I wouldn't hesitate to switch my account from Capital One to Republic Bank. I only have one complaint: "Republic Bank" sounds a bit like "Republican."
