love this little shop. i go there often but today the sales rep in black lipstick (tan with dark curly hair, didn't catch her name) was SO cute and helped me pick out a valentine's day gift— normally i dislike going to a store and chatting with the employees (lush can be a nightmare, for example) but i genuinely enjoyed our conversation and appreciated her help. such a sweetheart, made a trip to a great shop even better :-)

Cute stuff, reasonably priced as well. I enjoyed the local artist selection they had rather than a lot of mass produced cheap New York City "merch". Their selection of Sanrio is good, but nothing compared to the old Sanrio goods store that used to be around this location. My only issue was the lack of crowd control. It was people shoulder to shoulder, which I know is not unusual in large tourist attraction areas, but most places in these areas have crowd control. It would have been a lot more enjoyable with the appropriate crowd control.

Small shop with Asian inspired knick knacks from sanrio to others. The shop gets really full really fast during the holidays. The store also leads directly into 45 Rockefeller center.

I was here about a few months ago and just happened to read the reviews on this place just now and had a similar experience to others. Was shopping around with a friend and one of their employees came up to us from behind asked us if we needed help and after we said no she continued to stand there awkwardly. She then also started to follow us around the store until we checked out with a different cashier who also proceeded to act weird and condescending during the checkout, as if accusing us of trying to shoplift. Both me and my friend are also poc so reading the rest of the reviews it seems this place has a habit of doing this. I recommend avoiding this place.

another weird experience here. The worker purposely looked into my bag multiple times as if I were stealing. Making comments about what was in my bag. Someone checked in every 30 seconds as if were doing something illegal. And even during checkout she peered over the counter and asked for MY bag so she can put the items in there herself… the other white customers in the store did not get this treatment. will not return to the store ever again. it’s not a great environment for POC, unless you wanna be questioned every 30seconds about what’s in your bag and what you’re getting in the store. there’s a difference between servicing customers and making them uncomfortable with your presence.

Very expensive stuff. I'd recommend shopping at Miniso or other stores for the plushies they sell there. There are some cool cat and dog stuff. I didn't like the comment I received from this short blonde hair cashier about finding a garbage can around the area. It wasn't difficult to find the trash can because there was one in the food court and outside.

This location had cute collectibles and unique NYC-themed gifts (many of which are dog-related :))! I definitely plan on visiting PIQ again when I return to New York!

Attracted by the Monchichi plush she spied in the window, my wife was quite surprised by all of the Monchichi merchandise this store had. She had not seen Monchichi since she was in her early childhood, so it was a pleasant trip for her down memory lane. This store is located on the Rink level of the Rockefeller Center, and carries a decent selection of cute merchandise; including various Sanrio, San-X, and other Japanese kawaii items. Prices are definitely on the higher end, but it's to be expected given the location. We wound up buying a really cute keychain charm for $7 that she keeps attached to her backpack.

The pink one not so terrify. Very good service, especially the pink haired girl. Good store. I like the Sanrio collection.

Was planning on visiting before work, but after reading the reviews it’s disgusting how the owner tried to deny that someone had a racist experience, instead of apologizing and doing something about that red head employee.

i was asked to open my bag upon entering the store, so i did. then the employee was commenting about what was in my bag, as if i’d stolen the items. then two white guys walked into the store, and one of them had a huge backpack. she didn’t ask to see inside the backpack. whenever i looked at her, she was looking at me like i was gonna steal something. to the point where i felt super uncomfortable and left without buying anything, even though i was so excited to go because i love sanrio. whoever that redhead employee was at least try to be sneaky about it if you’re gonna be racist. EDIT: yes, i did have this experience at this location, this was in september 2022. i don’t appreciate being gaslighted.

Not much to say, other than I LOVE this store. It's real cute and the selection of items is so random and I absolutely love it.
