99 Cent Stores were once prolific in the City but since the pandemic they are no longer that cheap. The majority of goods sold start at $1+. However, one item still costs the princely sum of 99 cents. The Dove Bar! I specifically asked the owner about it. There is a huge sign so one cannot miss it. I frequent this store quite often as there are many items that are far cheaper than at other shops. As one enters the rows are packed to the brim neatly and nicely. Baby wipes which cost now $1.79 are nicely priced as I buy five packets at a time to clean my apartment. Some medications like the A&D cream that comes in a tube costs under $2. Now this is a bargain. Bottles are nicely priced too and so are school supplies. Detergents can be expensive though. There is even a variety of packaged food items but I don't care for them. The owners are a kind couple.

They have everything and everything is organized and clean! A great local store to support. I’ll be coming here to stock up on school and party supplies; cashier was very friendly too. I even called beforehand to ask if they had what I was looking for and they went above and beyond to help. Great place.

Truly the lowest quality imaginable stuff. Don't buy anything that's breakable, because it *will* break first time you try to use it

Love this little 99c & Up store. It's always clean and has great merch: from cute $1.99 earrings to lightbulbs, lovely hand gloves and tea light candles. The manager is very nice, too. A convenient, Turtle Bay neighborhood spot to pick up affordable essentials and thoughtful gifts. Manhattan's East Side needs more of these friendly, 'old-school' dollar store locations.

While walking along 1st Ave on the upper east side notice 99cents plus store and figure i should take a look and pick up a few things . Compared to dollar tree stores not everything is a buck but this place is cleaner, better organized, well stocked and workers don't look like rikers Island rejects. Stuff for the kitchen. Bath, novelty items and plenty of other cheap priced useful goods. Got some paper plates, plastic cups and liquid soap and hand sanitizer. I bet if you go aisle to aisle, section to section , shelves to shelves I am fairly sure you will find something useful.

Very nice store. Picked up some wrapping paper, gift boxes, tun gift boxes and a bow to decorate my door for the holidays.
