the name dont lie folks as discount depot has plenty of health and beauty supplies, household products , snacks , nys lottery, and a bunch of other nik naks at prices cheaper then cvs , walgreens, etc. while walking by via the upper east side on 2nd ave the front window display of the many items they sell always makes me walk in to browse and pick up a few or more items. the many aisles with organized stuffed shelves has so much stuff , its hard not too find something useful , as i grabbed a few bags of sugar free lemon throat drops, lavender body lotion, extra long heavy duty laundry bag and i cant forget some lottery tickets. overall a good local neighborhood shop up the upper east side that local and non local folks will enjoy shopping at .

In an area where CVS/ Duane Reide have everything in locked shelf's, this place you can buy with ease. I highly recommend shopping here. Stores like this don't come to often in the city, support them.

In an area where there are no dollar stores this shop comes pretty close. Even though most things are over a dollar, you'll find a terrific selection of products for home and bathroom at some terrifically cheaper prices. Some a lot lower cost than at the local big chain drug stores. Throughout the past year when I dropped in they had hand sanitizers and cleaning supplies at a decent price. The store itself is well stocked and organized. Shop local biz!

I can get all my home stuff here: cleaning supplies, soap, beauty products, etc., and the prices are less than Amazon. Toilet paper, Ajax, good shampoo, curling irons, food containers, etc. Unlike chain stores like CVS and Duane Reade, this place also doesn't have a two-tiered pricing system that bases what you pay on whether or not you're willing to submit your personal information to them. Also, unlike chains, the profits stay right in the community. This is an independent business that trust me, you don't want to see go away. SHOP HERE.

Passed this place by for years before finally ducking in on the off chance they had a cheap lamp (long story of its own), and boom, one left on the tippy top of a rack. (Fifteen bucks, and it looks, y'know, fine.) Discount Depot has come through every time since: for nitrile exam gloves ($10/box), sterile face masks ($7 or so per box)... this is starting to make me sound really sketchy, isn't it? (I swear all that stuff was for basic run-of-the-mill kitchen/bathroom cleaning.) Plus they've got the best price in the neighborhood on a certain other item a lot of you want, which I won't name cuz then there's less for me. (Not drugs or anything that exciting.) Anyway, recommended.

When you see a sign that says 'Discount' go in! This store is neat and clean. The owner is known in the neighborhood. You can find all sorts of things rarely carried elsewhere. I particularly like small sizes of over the counter health products. When you want a little purse size Tylenol or cough drops you'll find them here. This is the place to go for a few items for your first apartment when you move to NYC! Employees are not breathing down your neck while you browse. Fast friendly service. I definitely like shopping here.

Due to urgent need, advised by the post office near by, I am required to make an emergency photo copy. Discount Depot charged me a high price. Other things may be on a discount, but not on its xerox machine.

Terrific place. Tons of merchandise. Nice staff. Will even haggle over sticker prices if they seem too high. But the place is locked down today, Saturday afternoon on 9/17/16, and I have NEVER seen the place closed in the middle of the day in the 15 years I've lived across the street. Can't figure out why.

I like this place because the guys who work there are always nice and helpful, and I'd rather support them than evil Duane Reade. But don't let the name or bright price tags or decor fool you; it's no discount depot. Prices are on par with DR, probably a little above CVS. If I weren't always broke I'd prefer to support them because small businesses are important and the owner seems nice. The selection is good and they're open late, so if you're not hard up, go here.

Best prices on Devacurl salon size items - all $30 each vs $35-40 at Ricky's and other stores

While there is a large selection don't let the name trick you. Not everything is as discounted as it may seem. Check prices carefully.

This place has a great stock of all natural items from cleaners to personal hygiene items & they are lower prices than the surrounding stores. The store is not sparkling and new but the discounts and friendly staff make it for me :)

This place has fantastic prices on all kinds of personal and cleaning items. Also they carry all of the organic and natural brands I use for cleaning such as Mrs. Meyers, Seventh Generation, etc. The service and staff I love I go here frequently and will continue to use them. I highly recommend them to everyone I know. Shop LOCAL!!
