When I visit the CVS on 87th and Lex, The workers always greeted me with a warm greeting. There are a few of them that I know for years since I live nearby. Unfortunately, everything Has to be locked away now, although I understand because there have been a lot of robberies. That can sometimes be frustrating to wait for them to answer the call button, but for the most part, they are pretty quick with responding and opening the glass doors.

I like all CVS stores around E86 str, the staff is respectful and helpful. Here and there I also deposit few recycling containers (limit 20 per day), never faced any problem but in this store. I entered the store around 8 pm a few days ago, the store was almost empty, and was "welcomed" by a strongly overweight lady still young (no name badge) who somehow detected that I have those containers and screamed at me from the door "No empty bottles!". I was shocked by this rude attitude to a customer, so I asked for hersupervisor...who did not appear even I was waiting for 15 minutes, but a young man (no name badge) in a broken English whispered "We are asked not to take them, otherwise we would be fired!". Having been sorry for the staff, I left and deposited my containers somewhere else, believing that it is not a permanent policy for this store.Recently, I spoke to friend of mine who just told me..."Yes, they harass people not to deposit by various tactics and pretexts" and she added "The worst to follow this repugnant policy is a lady with an elaborated hair on the top of the head, like a wedding cake (no name badge), she is rude and lazy".So for the "manager" of this store...There is the so called NY bottle law and under this law the store is obliged to accept empty bottles and cans during 24 hours with the exception of the first and last hour of its daily operating. CVS is selling thousands of soft drinks and other bottled and canned drinks, some regular water is sold with a tax and 5 cent deposit for $3 and much more. So, the city should penalize any type of store who violates its law by imposing on them hefty fines or simply prohibit them to sell anything contained in cans and bottles. I can come in person to bring a copy of the NY bottle law to this ignorant and with a zero intelligence and professionalism "manager". Actually, a copy of this legislation should be placed in a visible place in the store itself as do any other more decent stores (can name). It appears, that this store needs a new more professional manager and its current very low rating/performance by many disappointed clients can improve.

After taking the same medication prescribed by the same doctor, I made the mistake of changing from one CVS pharmacy to another.I never had an issue at my previous CVS pharmacy since they were aware that a change in dose is a new prescription, and I have to give what is left of my old prescription to my doctor as it’s a controlled substance. Thanks to the pharmacist at 1294 Lexington Ave, I will be three days without a medication I can’t stop taking and can enjoy all of the effects of withdrawal. Over three years, and he is treating me with complete disrespect.I wish my old pharmacist didn’t retire. He was kind and understood the severity of my health issues, how I had to bring my medication to my pain management doctor for a count, which she keeps, and writes a new prescription, and how I never abused any medication, and a prescription with different doses is a new prescription. In fact; I stopped the medication myself after reducing the dose by over half. It’s the same medication he refuses to dispense. An addict doesn’t ask to reduce their medication and then take a two month break, so to be treated like one is despicable.

Store is always clean and the people who work there are friendly and helpful. I've found things in stock there that have been hard to find at other locations.

Fran was an amazing help even though security and asset protection followed me in the store, Fran made me feel at ease also really beautiful hair! Lol but she was really nice about accepting my compliment and really helpful! Makin jokes on the way excellent customer service skills! She should be a general manager so she can teach others in different locations to be like her!

Seek out Charlotte at the CVS store on 87th and Lexington. She will save you a ton of money using your care pass card or just benefits from the store. You can't make this up! A knowledgeable employee is priceless (and one who actually lives her job)!

So, I came at 1:15 to pick-up a prescription of antibiotics to fight pneumonia. I consider this somewhat urgent as my wife is 34 weeks pregnant, and I want to get this resolved ASAP. So,...I go to the pharmacy at CVS, and the attendant explains that the prescription should be done between 1:30 and 2:00. I came back at 1:54 to find the gates pulled down on the pharmacy. The attendant's story, in a crude, belligerent and lazy manner, is now that the pharmacy takes lunch between 1:30 and 2:00pm. What the actual f**k. There is no indication of a lunch hour on any sign, and the attendant sure as f*ck didn't mention a f*cling lunch hour when she told me to come back. What the actual f*ck is going on here? This is serious s****

Manager followed me all over the store (kept randomly popping up throughout the store and just standing idly) even though my jacket was worth more than his weekly salary.

Filthy store, refrigerator filth with mice droppings. Charles, the manager is rude. The checkout machines are for children not adults. Just dirt everywhere

It’s not clear to me that anyone works here and everything is locked behind anti-theft containers. If you’re gonna make it so difficult to buy soap, I’ll just buy from Amazon

The store is shaped badly and confusing. Staff is pretty rude, only helpful person was the security guard. Asked for a manager and realized he was who just spoke rudely to me and didn’t help.
