By far the WORST pharmacy is in the NYC! They NEVER answer the phone. Staff unprofessional in the pharmacy dept. I have multiple complaints through corporate including a HIPAA violation against my privacy. This isn’t over…I’m moving pharmacies I suggest old & new patients you do the same

UPDATE: Alexis is still the best but recently this location hasn’t had a few of my medications in stock and they can only recommend going to another CVS location. They also rarely answer the phone so you have to go in person to find out that they can’t get your medications in.Lots of negative reviews here so I wanted to chime in with a positive. Most of the people working the counter at the pharmacy are great. In particular, Alexis always greets everyone with a smile and keeps her cool no matter how rude a customer may be. She’s super helpful with everyone in our family and we love to see her when she’s working.I have had issues with the pharmacy never picking up the phone and there is one male pharmacist in particular who is always pretty curt and rude regardless of how kind and curteous we are.

Truly awful pharmacist. Came from ER to fill an RX phoned in by MD. Pharmacist said they did not have it in stock. Refused to check other CVS availability. Very sick, I stumbled across Broadway to Apthorp, which has the medication in stock. They said CVS had to transfer the RX. So I stumbled back across Bway, coughing my lungs out, then the CVS pharmacist refused to transfer the RX. Then he and a young male register worker started very loudly berating me, saying the RX (Sudafed) was a "CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE." As if I were a drug addict. In fact, I had a severe lung infection as a result of exposure to hazardous pollution, and needed the Sudafed (per the ER MD) to breathe. These two young men have no business working as medical professionals. They are rude, disrespectful, and treat sick patients with astounding violations of privacy and lack of any medical ethics whatsoever. Take your business elsewhere.

Terrible service and should be Zero stars! I called to speak to the pharmacist on the provider line and never got anyone to answer the phone in 15 miutes of holding. I guess that I will have the patient select a new pharmacy.

The absolute worst pharmacy in the city. I have been going only because it’s the only one in the neighborhood. The lines to pick up scripts are always wrapped and weaved around the aisles. The staff is unprofessional and incompetent. Such a terrible experience every single time

Pharmacy employees are really nice and helpful, the people complaining are old white people who are super mean to the employees. This store is less crowded than other locations nearby and has self checkout

I have to echo the other reviewers on something being seriously wrong with this CVS. There are always delays on all medications, and I often wait up to a week before they let me know they don't have it in stock. It has caused so much stress, and then when I go to call the pharmacy, I've been on hold for an hour and a half (which I'm sure is due to others having similar issues). Even the staff have confirmed there have been supply issues. I will say that the staff at this location are actually lovely and always friendly and as helpful as they can be given the support (or lack-thereof) they have from CVS at this location.

I usually love CVS pharmacy, but wow is this one the most awful one ever. They are so lazy in every single aspect. It's beyond me how bad it is. Do they have a general manager? Someone at all? Ive been going to CVS for 20 years- this is the worst one ever.

I called the pharmacy to make sure my prescription was ready and a woman answered the phone like this “what do you want” I asked a question but she cut me off. I finally went to pick up my prescription but the pharmacist her self “manager pharmacist “ that I hope will have manners or a be a professional was acting the same as everyone working for her. She was rude and unprofessional. I asked a question regarding my medication for interaction with other medication but she was screaming and talking infringe of other patients. Where is HIPPA here if a pharmacist can just disclosed your information i front of other people. I called directly the management from CVS and I called HIPAA to supervise employees and care for complaints like this. We have to carry our jobs with high standard and stop believing so unprofessional. We need each other. Period

Absolutely the worst pharmacy in the area. They delayed my prescription for more than 48 hours then sent me a text that it was ready. They do not pick up their phone. When I went to pick it up they asked for another 5 minutes. 30 minutes later they stated that they didn’t have the medication in stock and didn’t know when it would be ready. The silver haired pharmacist behind the counter was rude and refused to help. Choose any other pharmacy besides this one. CVS corporate should fire the whole lot of rude morons working there.

If there was an option for 0 stars, I would choose it. I had a prescription for a medication following surgery sent there. They were unable to fill it. However, they have formally notified my insurance that they have dispensed which they have not because they do not have it in stock (which they did not tell me for over 24 hours!). Here's the worst part - I tried to get it sent to another pharmacy near to me and they cannot prescribe it because the central database says that this CVS on 77th street has dispensed it. I tried to call the CVS to change the status of the script in the computer but NO ONE PICKS UP THE PHONE. I cannot physically go to the pharmacy as I just had surgery. Thus, CVS is NOT providing me the medication AND their choice to notify the insurance company that they filled the script means that no other pharmacy will prescribe it. They STINK - talk about ZERO customer service. Now I have to go post operative evenings without my needed medicine. I would NEVER go in that store EVER again.

I am a physician and have to say that something is serious wrong at this CVS. They delayed filling my prescription by 48 hours --I thought --only to find that the text they sent me that my meds were ready was incorrect. I got to this location , was told to wait 10 minutes. After 30 minutes , they admitted they didn't have the medicine and had no idea when it would be ready. The head pharmacist was rude and his inexperienced staff need to be re-educated. An awful experience there start to finish. Avoid it at all costs.
