Absolutely horrible customer service in this branch. The banker here was arrogant, 0 help, 0 empathy. The problem was not easy to resolve, but was done in another branch, whereas this one treats its clients like garbage.

Kathryn has to be the sweetest and most personable worker I have ever met at a bank! I give 5 stars for her

I never thought that I would write about a bank but, alas here we are. I lost my wallet and needed to take out money for Christmas presents, which is stressful in and of itself, and the staff at this Chase could not be more helpful and accommodating. From showing me how to fix my card on my phone in order to use it for the ATM, to sitting down with me and helping me exchange money to consolidate the presents, to chasing me down because I forgot my keys (blame it on Holiday brain). They were literal angels, led by Sammy (? again holiday brain) who greeted me the minute I walked in! I may start going inside banks again.

Jasmine Vargas was extremely helpful. I had an issue that had nothing to do with her department but she took her time and helped me get in contact with them. I would recommend her for any Banking needs. Thank you Jasmine!!

What an absolutely terrible company My wife and I are on vacation in the Caribbean with no cell service. We notified the bank ahead of the trip that we would be traveling outside the country and making purchases The chose this exact time to do some stupid review of the account and are declining all transactions. Now we are stuck on an island running low on cash because the morons at Chase can't undo their mistake on choosing the exact time we said we would be traveling to suspend the account and review it. My wife's credit score is 3 points from perfect and mine is 10 points from perfect There is no balance on the card at all and they offer to have a supervisor call us back, but they have been told at least 5 times that we are out of the country and have no cellular service and that we are calling from a business phone trying to figure it out while we are in the store. Whatever you do, don't use chase bank for a credit card, because they don't care about doing the right thing and they just let you suffer until they get around to completing their 10 day review and you can't make any purchases at all. Utterly the most idiotic folks on the phone. When I get back to the states I will be filling a lawsuit against them for all of the issues this stupid company has caused and the stress and frustration they are putting us through. I'm on vacation for Christ sake, I don't want to be dealing with this crap right now

Sweet and helpful staff - no wonder there is an overall 5-star review (especially rare for a bank)!

This is for the spectacular customer service I just experienced at this branch. I am NOT a Chase Bank customer. I needed a notary. The usual notary I use in the East Village had called out sick. I went to five different places looking for a notary and except for one bank which had no notary, all of them insisted I be a customer of their bank. The other UPS store had no notary until later in the day. Late for work, rushing, I passed this branch and thought oh what the hell. I walked in. ALTHOUGH they had no notary, they IMMEDIATELY directed me to two places that did, including the other Chase Bank near by. AND not only that, they were more than helpful. There was an enthusiasm and professionalism and AN ENJOYMENT of their jobs that is critical to an establishment being more than ordinary. I was told by the other branch that the bank manager at this branch is Ms. Colon. He was not sure of the name of her colleague, a young man with a very nicely trimmed beard. Both these Chase staff were GREAT. And I want to thank them both for being truly what professionalism is all about. BTW - there are lots of reasons one might need a notary. In my case it concerned the estate of my recently deceased father. Doing the grim paperwork that comes with such events is hard enough. To be running around NY looking for a notary did not make it any easier. So the welcome and help I received from Ms. Colon and her colleague REALLY did make a difference.
