I used to love this location, but I haven't been to this store in a couple of years because I moved. Recently, when I decided to sell some clothes there, unfortunately the reviews here turned out to be correct. They are not looking for quality (like pure silk) or real vintage (denim in excellent condition from the 80's) but more of what's popular at the moment. I regretted parting with some really good expensive pieces later because they did give me "pennies" for them. Go to Beacon't Closet - they knowand appreciate quality and unique hand-made things and bought pretty much everything I had and priced it much much better.

The lower Manhattan location front counter people all have attitude. You get pennies if they buy it at all.

Unfortunately, had really bad selling experiences at this store. The staffs were very mean and priced way too low for beautiful and high-quality clothes from very well-known brands. The pricing processes were too choking. Every time when I mentioned how much the retail prices were, they said no negotiation and no bargain. They always fight against you by stating you didn’t need to sell with us. After that, I went to other buffalo stores a lot, they were very nice and valued my high-quality clothes. Showed me respect and fairness. I felt comfortable to sell my clothes to them.

The racks are disorganized, clothes are tossed everywhere, and stinks. I strongly do not recommend coming to this location. Never on trend styles and poor customer service. The staff have attitude issues for simple questions. Not a fun experience when I visit New York from Miami.

Despite the mostly negative reviews posted about this location, I was actually very pleased with the service and efficiency with selling my clothes here! YES: they have a particular style and they're not going to give you a ton of money for what they do buy-but that is to be expected at a buy/trade/resale store. And yes, you're probably going to get 1/5 of what you paid for the item originally. BUT they have a good system and get you in and out pretty quickly. At this location in particular, they review all of the items in front of you, so you don't have to wait. The staff on this particular day were also very kind and enjoyable to talk to.

Absolutely love this location. Have been a few time. I feel like the selection is always broad and you're 100% going to find what you want. Customer service wise- don't expect much. Kara, at the register, was super sweet, as well as two other employees. It was only one person with darker long hair, back by the dressing rooms making everyone on edge. It may be policy to turn people away from the fitting rooms 15 minutes before close, but you can at least be nice. I get it, you want to go home. But it's your JOB, so get over yourself. We stepped behind the employee area (that had no boundary) and it set off attitude #2. They made the experience TERRIBLE. We immediately put back things we weren't sure on, and left. Made such a fun night into an uncomfortable situation. YOU ARE OPEN TIL 8. If you can't deal with that, please find a new career and do not make other people feel terrible for being in the shop.

Have been wanting to go here for literally 10 years, finally got the chance and was not disappointed! Quality items from quality brands very cheap. Copped some Zara, White Fox, Pretty Little Thing, and Princess Polly for extremely low prices. Store was packed but there was a sale event going on so it's to be expected. The clothing however is so jam packed together in some areas it's hard to browse and I picked up a pair of shoes and dirt slid out.. a decent amount. I believe items should be cleaned prior to being set out. So glad I got to come finally thought got cute stuff! Definitely wash items you buy, seems they may not

This idea of selling your well-conditioned clothes for 25% back is a joke. I went to Buffalo, 11th Street, and while the service was excellent, I was not impressed with the fact that I received a measley $5.00 for my items. I had planned to throw those items in the clothing drop, like I've done before, but decided to try to get back some money- wrong I was! although not all items were brand new, all were almost new, a few were brand new and still tagged. I felt almost embarrassed to have someone tell me that my clothes are worth a dollar. I had a few designer items from Franco Sarto, Carlos Santana, items from Banana Republic, Adidas and some stylish, linen, and trendy assorted clothing, I even had about 4 joggers. I got nada! over 30 items in all! I only received a measley $5.00 from 5 items that the young lady took. I felt robbed! I donated the rest. I did not fuss because these clothes were headed to the clothing drop anyway, and because I believe in Karma. This is just a "beware" to you newcomers. Think twice about selling your clothes, call ahead and find out what trends they are looking for, otherwise you are going to feel sorely disappointed. Never again!

Such a small store that is always overcrowded. Also, a lot of overpriced stuff

This particular store ranks low on the list of buffalo exchanges in the city. Pretty poor selection. Expect to find b-grade mall brands with prices higher than what you'd see these items for at the clearance rack. Layout of this store is the worst part. You can't get around the racks (which are overloaded to a fault) without scraping past a dozen other shoppers. There's not good spot to wait in line, and don't even try wearing in a backpack or bringing a shopping bag from another spot.
