I feel weird writing this, since it seems some other Yelpers have had bad experiences, but honestly, I like Broadway Farm a lot. No, it doesn't have everything, but I'm intrigued by what it does carry. Wheat germ you haven't seen since the 80s (but with a good sell by date)? Yes! Freshly shaved parmesan that tastes heavenly but doesn't break the bank? Also yes. Mexican street corn and guacamole flavored like Mexican street corn and hydroponic butter lettuce??? Also yes! Fresh coffee while you shop? Also yes. Dolly Parton's caramel turtle brownies? Also yes. This place specializes in the obscure and I am here for it. This is the poor man's Fairway but sometimes it is good to be the poor man. The aisles are a bit crowded but I like how it seems like everyone who shops here is an old timey New Yorker and not a tourist who thinks Trader Joe's is a local, hood supermarket. (No offense to Trader's, I love you too hon.) I've never gotten sick here, but maybe I have been lucky. They give durable shopping bags as well and the cashiers are the loveliest! If you are not up for the crowds and lines at Trader's or Fairway, this is the place to go.

this place is legitimately awful for a number of reasons. the staff is rude every time you walk in, the quality of the produce is laughable, and the prices are out of control. I hope this place goes out of business because everyone who works here is hateful.

I left my wallet here on accident and when I came back for it, I thanked the manager for holding on to it, but he just stared at me with this awful grimace on his face. He started muttering things to himself under his breath and stared at me until I left the store. Very odd.

Extreme - Price Gounging. Almost 150%-200% priced over. Don't even get me started on the milk. This is basically just a giant ovepriced convenience store, doesn't deserve to be called a supermarket ripping off your local neighborhood like straight thieves. At least store is clean and has a decent selection.

Managers are racist and openly aggressive. Very odd behavior.

Wow the quality here is appalling. Not sure how they stay in business is such a high profile location but we returned lots of fruit and premade foods that were of such poor quality. Not to mention overpriced. Don't shop here.

They have the best selection of high quality products in the area. Looking for a rarely held King Arthur product, they have it. Looking for unique allergy friendly (nut free, gluten free) products, they have it. Looking for an exceptional olive oil for bread dipping, they have it. That said, it is not uncommon to find expired items on the shelves - so make sure your item is at it's best.

Terrifically wide selection of fresh produce at reasonable prices, and I was especially delighted to discover that they also carry superior organic breads from Bread Alone, the wonderful bakery located in the Hudson Valley. (The day I went, they had an abundant display of Bread Alone's Whole Wheat Sourdough, San Francisco Sourdough, and Nine Mixed Grain breads--all fresh and pre-sliced!) Also, the cashier was very nice and carefully packed my purchases in a reusable bag costing just 25 cents. The durable bright orange bag had a cheerful design with a nice flower print, so I'll be making plenty of good use of it in future!

Price gouging at its finest at this place and the employees are all very rude. Go to zabars instead.

I was extremely excited entering the store because everything I looked at in the produce section was extremely fresh and when I asked for directions to it the spice aisle multiple workers directed me in the right place. The prices are very reasonable especially in the location on Broadway in Manhattan.

I never write reviews but I felt compelled to let the internet know how horrible this place is after several times getting burned here. Outrageous prices and extremely rude staff - the cashiers don't acknowledge you when you approach the register and can't be bothered to stop what they're doing to check you out. I waited for a couple minutes right in front of an open register and then when i gave up and moved to a different register, the original cashier looks up and says "Why you mad, i was busy". I get treated like half a person in here. Walk the extra blocks to go to a different market, PLEASE.

One of the most expensive markets in the area for subpar products. You can get the same things at other local stores for cheaper.
