Each week the menu changes and if you get ahold of it ahead of time you can order as soon as you walk in the door. On 2/22/24 I visited the Chowder House. The decor is very nice and fits the idea of the restaurant. I had 1 lb. Snow crab legs and so did my daughter. We really enjoyed them. They came with a side of pasta or potatoes, we both chose pasta. For dessert I chose the turtle cheesecake and my daughter chose a chocolate peppermint. The waitress and other staff were very polite and curteous. I would recommend the Chowder House to anyone who is looking for a nice, relaxing dinner.

Went with a friend! We both had broiled fish and sides plus a drink. The food was delicious and the drink was excellent .Our waitress was great with service. Dessert was cheese cake which was very good and coffee. No pictures because we were hungry.Definitely recommend the Chowder House in NY Mills. ?

I love this restaurant. I had the beer battered haddock and a cup of New England clam chowder. The Chowder House is the best in the area.

An amazing family restaurant on your way from Syracuse to Boston. The host, Viki, gives exceptional treatment to all the guests. And the food is really tasty and fresh. Everything we ordered was really delicious, starting from Clamd Chauder to the amazing scallops and ending with kids dishes. And don't forget to ask about the wine. The one that was suggested by Viki was really light with a gentle wood aroma. We even asked to get a photo of the bottle it was so good.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu with a selection of 5 different dishes.

So to say it's worth the trip is an understatement....We live 45 minutes away and when it comes to seafood craving, Chowder House never leaves you disappointed. My son loves the Calamari... We all love the Haddock dinners. I would drive 45 minutes just for the tarter sauce and great service. The portions are perfect and the prices are just right.

We just tried this restaurant for the first time. Casual and comfortable atmosphere, friendly and timely service, great food in generous portions, and very reasonable prices. We had New England clam chowder, calamari, mussels, and baked haddock. I’m from Boston, have had a lot of NE clam chowder, prefer to make my own, and I give them an “A” for theirs. Can’t ask for more!

Looking for an option to the other noisy options, we stumbled upon this gem within walking distance of our hotel! The baked fish sandwich was fantastic, and the lime sauce was a great compliment (also an entry)! The spinach artichoke dip was interesting, it was made drier than others but still delicious! Highly recommended - wish we could have gone back for dinner to try some of the other items on the menu!
