I don’t normally write reviews but because of our wonderful stay and I feel compelled to tell audiences how much of a GEM this place is! We stayed one night in the Peach Room, our room was decorated with antique-country style furniture and quilts with an personal touch bonus of surprise chocolate treats waiting for us in our room. Hal, our host, is full of refreshing humor, fascinating life stories and is nothing short of an EXTREMELY GRACIOUS host! If you have time, go on the veranda and enjoy the quiet and beautiful well-maintain green gardens. We saw chipmunks, rabbits, and many different types of birds. Breakfast didn’t disappoint either, Hal served a delicious, and healthy, breakfast spread -- homemade blueberry pancakes, sausage, fresh fruits (pineapple, melon, & strawberries), greek yogurt and granola – with a classy and beautiful table setting. I will definitely be returning to this lodge.

My husband Al and I shared a wonderful weekend at the Storm King Lodge. Beautiful settingand wonderful hosts. Our breakfasts were made to order, (gluten free modifications) delicious and served with class and wonderful conversation! Guest fridge is available with a plethora of beverages to help yourself to. A very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Thanks again to our hosts Hal and Gay Janks for a memorable weekend.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a quiet weekend getaways and by sheer luck, we stumbled upon this gem. The property was beautiful and the lodge was warm and quaint with just enough technology to make us two love birds from the suburbs feel like we weren't lost in the woods. The owner hand-cooked breakfast daily, and took the time to recommend a myriad of restaurants for us to try throughout our stay. He accommodated dietary needs without hesitation, and made us feel like it was his genuine pleasure to serve us. Full use of a kitchenette and free beer were a huge plus! If you're even thinking about staying here, you should! Incredible restaurants, cute towns to peruse and sample the coffee and ice-cream, and access to scenic hiking trails galore!

My two kids and I had a magical time staying here. Clean comfy rooms and a spectacular setting- stunning house and the lovely countryside. Beautiful plants all over. Great pool (part of it in the shade which is great!). Lovely breakfast. Hal is a great host. We would have been happy to be staying here for a whole week! It's literally less than 5 minutes to Storm King Arts Center.

We had a lovely stay at the Storm King Lodge B&B. The owner was very welcoming and the room was charming, not to mention the great mountain views and breakfast spread. Convenient location minutes from Storm King Art Center and a quick drive to dinner spots on the Hudson. We'd definitely come back!

Great place to stay. Extremely convenient to Storm King Art Center. Grilling and swimming after a long day walking around the art center was perfect.

We had a wonderful stay at Storm King Lodge. The owner is one of the nicest guys I've ever met. Breakfast is great, served in the big converted barn that is part of the main house. The grounds are beautiful--green rolling hills, and very near the Storm King Art Center. The room we stayed in is spacious and homey with access to a full kitchen and living room. We ended up cooking quite a bit and felt right at home. Just outside is the HUGE swimming pool. You can do some serious lap swimming there if you're inclined. It was very quiet, and though it was full when we stayed, there's so much space that you don't run into other guests much unless you want to. We had the pool completely to ourselves a couple of times. So overall a wonderful, warm and relaxing experience. I hope I get to come back again!

Worth it. The bed was comfortable and my girlfriend is a picky sleeper. We heard no crazy noises thought the night, woke up to spectacular views. They keep a mini fridge in the common room packed with a few beers and refreshments. When you step into storm King Lodge you immediately feel the slow pace of life at the former barn, spacious exposed beam reception area is also the dining area and reading space The property manager has rich stories of his travel as a professional classical musician Be aware of the damper in the fireplaces before starting a fire .. sorry hal Overall we had a fantastic weekend

A wonderful quiet place with a lovely garden and Schumann Grand Piano. I played it until the other guests arrived. Enjoyed fresh air as I sat on the large Veranda, sipped their well water and made my way through my unread magazines. Pigged out on a scrumptious breakfast with a variety of Fresh fruits. Our host - Hal - made a great oatmeal crust for me because I wanted to avoid the wheat flour in the fresh pastries. Hal went out of his to meet our druthers.
