They are friendly, competent accessible and courteous. They go out of their way to go the extra mile and explain everything that they do in terms of servicing and repairing your equipment. I had my lawn tractor repaired there recently and a problem recurred a week or so after it was returned. Ace Hardware in New Windsor is hands-down the best hardware store I’ve ever dealt with. I’ve come in with some very specific, off-the-wall problems—like figuring out how to funnel gas into a ‘67 Chevy that ran dry—and every single time, the staff here knows exactly what to do.
Whether it’s tracking down a bizarre screw size for an old door or just helping brainstorm a fix when I don’t even fully know what I need, they always have the answer. The team is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and just plain kind. It’s clear they take pride in their work and actually enjoy helping customers solve problems.
I’ve been coming here since it operated under a different name (True Value), and even with the shift to Ace, the quality hasn’t changed—it’s the same stellar team and same commitment to service.
