We had a great experience, lower prices than we thought they would be and the staff was amazing. 2 guys helped us load our can without us asking for help. They wrapped corn stalks in plastic and tied them to the roof of the car. Devitts is our new go to place for gardening supplies and plants

Typically work with Joe or Eben every year to make my garden plans come to life. This year I worked with Nicole and she was amazing! Sorry fellas, Nicole is my new go to expert. She is a joy to work with. Has intense knowledge of inventory and what grows well in our area. Able to translate my inspiration pics into reality! Doesn’t look like much in the back of the truck but it will be beautiful once planted. Thanks to the Devittt’s team and a special shout out to Nicole.

I always look forward to gardening season and it’s mostly because of the shopping experience I enjoy at Devitt’s. Everyone is always so friendly and always willing to share their knowledge. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my garden supplies.

I attended the Cutting Garden class with Debbie and it was very evident she loved what she does !! I learned so much in the short time . Debbie was knowledgeable about gardening and yet very whimsical!! I enjoyed that as she presented !! She even gave away well established daliahs from her own garden and I only hope I will be able to keep it alive !!! I felt so encouraged that I can take on gardening as she states there are no hard pressed rules and to just enjoy it !!! I do hope she will return in the fall so I’ll know how to dig up the daliah?… thanks again Debbie!!! ??

The employees at Devitts never fail to impress me with their hospitality and knowledge! Shopping here is fun because you know what to expect when you arrive, willing people always there to help. The part is, it is consistent every single year! Keep up the good work Devitts!!!!!

Maria was absolutely wonderful helping me navigate planting my first garden. She helped me with kindness, recommending me over 10 different varieties the shade & full sun parts of my yard. She was so helpful and a joy to work with. I will be coming back to visit her every year. Thank you, Maria, for helping me feel confident in learning to garden!!

I love Devitt’s. I come here every year and purchase several plants and bought 6 beautiful hydrangeas. The workers are incredibly helpful and friendly. They have the best quality plants as well.

I had my first visit to Devitt's the other day and it will not be the last! I started following the Nursery on Facebook after Santini's Landscaping did an amazing project for me and told me this is where he got the plants.
They posted pictures of Ranunculus, that I had been on the hunt for years! I reached out to the nursery in a PM and quickly started a conversation with Nicole who agreed to put some aside for me until I could get there. She even sent me pictures of what they had left and updated me on the condition of the original one I picked out! Wow - that sort of communication is exceptional and I'm already getting a sense that this place is pretty special! I get there and was in awe of what I saw. Tons of the most beautiful trees, plants, and flowers. Shortly after I got there I was approached by Loretta and asked if I needed any help. Loretta showed me around the nursery explaining what was grown on site, and all the goodies still to come.. She was amazing! Gave me excellent recommendations for future purchases and we talked for a good amount of time like we were old friends. Lauren and Jazzlyn at the register were watching over the Ranunculus that had been put aside for me. They suggested I go take a look at the ones that were still left that I didn't originally pick out and I'm so glad they did as I picked out another gorgeous one that I never expected to love. This place far exceeded my expectations for a Nursery and being there brought me such joy! It is so worth the 45 minute trip from Poughkeepsie and I will be back again and again and again! Thank you Nicole, Loretta, Lauren, Jazzlyn (and Steve Santini) See you again soon!

I grew up with Eggbert as a Christmas tradition and had been a loyal customer of Devitt's for years (though over priced), yet last night at Eggbert After Dark, he displayed the liberal use of the f slur and ended the evening with 'close the border'. I, and all the people at my table, will never shop at your place again. There is a difference between crude humor and hate speech, and you clearly do not know that difference. The fact that your business is owned by bigots, who found that language to be funny, is a shame.Regarding your response: “Stepping in” suggests that you curtailed, or attempted to stop it, which at no point did you, even after being requested to. I most certainly did speak to your Devitt’s affiliates, who attempted to educate me on the humor of the f slur, and this morning one of your employees responded to a comment (which has since been deleted) saying “I knew what I had signed up for. Eggbert is a jokester and does it for the crowds laughs.” The only people laughing were your employees. Yes, I would like to meet in person, so you can clarify what type of ‘jokester’ you might find yourself inflicting upon the public in the future.
