I went here for a pedicure and a gel polish manicure 2 1/2 weeks ago. Today, I went back for another gel manicure and was shocked to see I had GREEN FUNGUS growing under my thumb nail! When I confronted the nail tech, all he kept saying over and over was, "You have to go to the doctor..." and "I'm not a doctor...i don't know what that is"...SERIOUSLY!!!! COME ON!! I have never seen ANYONE (customers or staff) EVER wash their hands!!! TRULY DISGUSTING!! I definitely won't be back!!!

I recently visited Chocolate Nails Spa for a summer manicure, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience! The staff was incredibly welcoming and professional, making me feel right at home from the moment I walked in.

I don't think I'm becoming back here again! Last time I did a pedicure I was given Maria for my technician. Maria was horrible! She rushed through my whole pedicure and for my 10 min massage she was putting her tools away and organizing all in between. It was more like 5 mins. It was a waste of my $ Now today I figure I would give the a second try since my daughter told me there are some good workers like coco and yoyo. I came in they gave me Emily and this is even worse then past experience. Just taking off my gel she burned me horribly with the drill. The when she was pushing back my cuticles she was jamming the metal tool in my toes. I said ouch many times.. she rushed through my pedicure. It's been about 15 mins and we are already doing polish! I'm so upset. When you get a pedicure you look forward to pamper and relaxing. This was everything but. I don't think I'll ever come back here !!!!

I went there for the first time but it will also be my last.
The staff is friendly but the person who did my feet did a HORRIBLE job
I told him exactly how I wanted my feet done before he started anything but he did the complete opposite
I let it be known that I didn’t like how he painted/shaped my toes so he repainted one foot to see if I liked it but it was still really bad.
Like I said, great staff.. horrible job

I mean, I could start with the fact that the gel nail polish that looked pink on the sample was clearly either old or not shaken or something was wrong with it that caused it to have this horrible translucent effect that looks like I have some sort of shimmery foot mold. She knew something was wrong too, because she insisted on adding a 3rd layer of color - why? To try and cover up what was wrong. But I think the main takeaway is that the woman literally cut my toe when she was doing my pedicure and acted like nothing happened. Literally the WORST pedicure I have ever had. Avoid at all costs.

I experienced the worst service possible! I never cheat on my regular salon (Tommy nails) but I had to come here due to me going on vacation. After getting subpar service the tech had the nerve when i went to pay to hold my change in her hand and proceeded to say i had to give her a tip! At that point I was flabbergasted and grabbed my change and left! Of course I was going to tip but to hold my change hostage and demand me for a tip is not good customer service!

Waited 40 minutes to be attended to, and I had an appointment. I had 2 nails that were broken and told the nail tech that I wanted nail tips on those fingers. Nail tech did not put tips on and proceeded to apply gel polish. When I questioned her, she told me that if she had to remove the gel polish, I would have to pay $8 per nail. It's absolutely ridiculous. She also did not know how to file nails. Each of my nails is a different shape. I kept telling her, and she just didn't get it. I WILL NOT come here again. Incompetence + overpriced services = lost customer!

Up until today, I’ve had great experiences at New Windsor. I wish I knew about some of these reviews ahead of time - especially as it pertains to employee attitude & cleanliness, building & equipment hygenics (for most stations)..What ensured that I will NEVER return, is how the second technician shook me down for a bigger tip at checkout. While the end result of my dip manicure was “sufficient” (after quite a bit of communication difficulties and other snarky remarks by the tech), refusing to accept my paid-for and signed bill (which included a tip), until I provided a tip increase PER SERVICE with NO SHARING is deplorable.Gratuities, while appreciated by most, are NOT entitlements. This place, will never see another dime of mine.

This was one of the worst places I have gotten my nails done. I knew my nails were sort of short and wanted almond shape but I told the nail technician that whatever shape she thought was best to with with I'd be ok with. Long story short, she filed my pinky nail down to the nail bed and only left a pointer on the right side of the nail. She then proceeded to tell me almond nails wouldn't work. Ok, fine but what do I do about the pencil tip nail you just left? She told me I would now need a tip on that nail and it was an extra charge. I'm sorry? Extra charge for a perfectly good nail that was not filed to a mountains shape because you went too hard. No thank you. I went to leave and the owner took over and did my nails. She built my nail with powder even though I spent weeks growing them. She did a good job. My mother was there also, I left her to go shopping and she told me when I picked her up that the woman doing her pedicure told her "oh your feet aren't too bad, I don't need to do much. Can I offer you a massage for $10 extra dollar?" Mind you, my mom was explicit and stated she just wanted a good cleaning of her toes. Overall horrible experience and I would never go back. They are rushed and not experienced.

So was at the Monroe spa during a rain and Thunder storm with my wife and she got her manicure done with one of the nail tech one of her nails was repaired and less than 24 hours of her nails being done it broke I got on the phone with owner of the the spa and her response was HER NAIL WAS REPAIRED AND THER IS A FEE TO FIX IT MY RESPONSE WAS DO YOU BELIVE THIS IS FAIR to her my wife after we had a pleasurable time AND OWNER REPEATEDLY TO ME NOTHING IS FREE I HAVE TO PAY LABOR regards how much you paid WOW !!!!!!!!!! I said wow so very fast in TELLING ME save you 3% if you pay cash - ok so now you got our money and still you won’t fix the nail that supposedly was fixed now you telling me a fee of 6 to 12 dollars to to fix 1 nail wow after that statement then she proceeded to tell me 10 dollars wow 2 dollars off wow again from this being my 1ST Time being there this is how you treat customers shame on you miss OWNER your interest is not customer service it’s the color of money at times in business you have to take a loss to keep your customers coming back SO YOU HAVED LOST 2 customers for good that 1 star is more of a ZEROTO OTHERS LADIES STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION NOT CUSTOMER FRIEND FOR SERVICE ONLY IF YOU SHOw THEM THE GREEN MONEY !!!!!!!
