Horrible service. Poorly staffed. Inefficient. Go to any other post office but this one. Made a passport appointment during my lunch break only to be told to stand in the regular line for 20 minutes upon my arrival. When I finally make it to the counter, I was told the agent who processes the passport applications was MIA and was told to continue to wait and see if he comes in. I walked out and made an appointment for a different post office. Waste of my lunch break and got nothing accomplished.

Unfortunately, for a job where you interact with people all day, it doesn’t seem like they are comfortable interacting with anyone. Rude and dismissive aren’t good traits for customer service

The customer service at this place is terrible, except for a young man who cares about doing his job well. I went to send a passport to renew it. I asked the employee at the passport window for help, who dismissively told me to follow the instructions on the application, when I just wanted to know what envelope it should be sent in. Unfortunately, 80%, if not more, of federal employees are not professionals. I think one of the requirements of being a federal employee is to be unpleasant, obnoxious, and unprofessional.

Just moved here and was super nervous about coming here based on all these negative reviews! For context, my last local USPS was an absolute dream with great customer service, rarely any long queues, and all my mail made it to me and to any destinations I sent them to.
Today, I went in for a weight check for a couple different zip codes and April was very helpful/informative. I asked her about the self service kiosk and apparently I used it incorrectly, which is why I kept getting a really expensive shipping rate.
Anyway, wanted to come here to say it wasn't that bad, but we shall see how things go!

The employees who work at this location are not customer friendly they sit there gossiping while they have people online waiting to be called to the window. They have no type of customer service when They are dealing with older people and people who can’t speak English, English, or understand English very well. The employees talk to their customers like they have an attitude and look miserable at the front desk from the time they It get in even worse when it’s almost time to close. You should really look into getting more professional employees with great customer service to work at the front desk with the customer. What happened to good customer service because you can’t even get great customer service at this location. It’s sad that you would keep people like this in the front. There are three different females and Two older men, they all are no good, but the females are even worse. Better customer service will get you 5 stars Everyone needs to start leaving a review and be honest about how you were treated at this location Maybe they need to look into closing this place down.

Extremely unhelpful and rude clerks every time, only the janitor is polite. If the self service wasn't broken half the time there wouldn't be a need to deal with them.

saw the low ratings here so needed to say this is honestly one of the better USPS locations in the country! staff is civil with customers and I’ve never had to wait long on weekday mornings. plus, there’s the self service machine which works great. all in all not bad (especially comparatively speaking!)

I came here with my youngest brother one time to renew our passports, they are the worst. The lady that was “helping us” had such a nasty attitude that she was talking back to us rudely. Everyone that works there are very rude also. Except for one guy he was very nice when I came in to ask for an application, and very helpful to a few questions I had. Shout out to him. I’ve been there so many times and it’s always the same experience. I keep going since I live in New Rochelle but I might start going somewhere because it’s always the same. They are horrible!!!

I recently moved to New Rochelle. I live close to this post office. I mailed two envelopes to a local New Rochelle address. Each envelope had 2 gift cards each. The envelopes never made it to the recipient. After reading the other comments here, I can tell you, "Yes, there is an individual or multiple people at this post office that steal." I knew someone there stole it. Maybe I should have paid for first class with tracking but I didn't think the employees would steal mail. If you are reading this, my advice is to write to the Postmaster General. There's strength in numbers. And to the people writing 5 star reviews - you are delusional.
