Do not hire this company. I’m writing on behalf of my parents who moved to a town 20 minutes away. The review under mine sounds eerily similar. My dad called and agreed on a quote after giving information about the details of their home. On the day of the move, the head guy looked around the house and said that my parents were misquoted. They would need to pay over double the price and everything would not be moved over in one day. In a pinch, my parents had no choice but to pay. The next day the movers showed up again. They filled up the truck about 3/4 the way full and said that’s all they could fit. They left a bunch of items in the house. After my parents said something, the head guy said that for an extra $900, they could somehow fit the rest of the stuff that he insisted did not fit in the first place. Again my parents had no choice but to pay because they were already a day behind on their closing date. I will say that the two guys who worked under the head guy were fantastic. They were so sweet and did their jobs well. The head guy was unprofessional. He lied and scammed my parents. He yelled and screamed at my mom. In addition, he yelled at and belittled the guys who worked under him the entire time. It was so bad that my whole family continually praised the guys for all their hard work. My mom even told them that they were too good to work under the head guy, and that they should reconsider the company they work for.

Short version:We contracted a move from NY to PA 2 months before the move date. They inquired about # of rooms, furniture, etc. They gave us a quote which we signed off on. The day the movers came they DOUBLED the PRICE without ever checking the inventory provided.Detailed Version:I did a lot of online research before selecting a company and Amerisafe had very good reviews, so we decided to go with them. We contacted them approximately 2 months before the move and during the time up to the move things seemed to go smoothly. During an initial call they inquired about the # of rooms, # of bedrooms, about items in each room, large pieces of furniture, glass pieces (tabletops, shelving, etc.), area rugs, etc. We were quoted a price, which we accepted and signed. In addition, we were told Customer Service would call closer to the move date to see if there were any significant changes to the inventory - there were not.The day the movers (apparently locally contracted company named US Moving Enterprises) came, the "clipboard guy" came in, looked around, never checked against the inventory we provided and DOUBLED THE PRICE!!! We went back and forth with him but basically there was nothing we could do. It was either pay it or he would leave without moving the furniture. The day the movers (apparently locally contracted company named US Moving Enterprises) came, the "clipboard guy" came in, looked around, never checked against the inventory we provided and DOUBLED THE PRICE!!! We went back and forth with him but basically there was nothing we could do. It was either pay it or he would leave without moving the furniture.I called Amerisafe and the Customer Support person I spoke with was sympathetic but didn't do anything. It was just finger-pointing.Later i the day, the "clipboard guy" said the move would actually need another truck and that would be more money!!!! He offered to do it at a "better price" if I contracted that part of the move through him. So, he was trying to cut-out Amerisafe now. I said "No" to another truck.About 5:00 PM I told him he needed to finish up because the building had a 5:00 cut-off on moving in/out which we informed them of earlier in the week. He 1st said, "No one told him that." Then back pedaled and said "Well, we must have told a new person."The next day as they moved us in it was a similar situation - trying to nickel and dime where ever they could but my wife didn't fall for it.BTW, the actual men who moved the furniture were professional and polite. No complaints with them.

The local team of movers was careful but the team that moved me across the county was careless. My furniture was damaged or broken beyond repair and 8 large moving boxes were lost. When I filed a claim following their directions, the claim was ignored. They never paid me

The moving team (Paul & Clifford) w US Moving Enterprises did an amazing job of packing out our house. With a great attitude they got everything - more than estimated - into the truck, packed carefully & professionally. Conscientious, attentive, and pleasant all day long, we highly recommend them. Schedulers leading up to the move were a bit lackluster, trying to shift the arrival time last minute, but the actually moving crew - on the actual scheduled day - made up for it.

I scheduled with this company about a month in advance. I explained the exact day I needed the move to happen. The original person I spoke to had the date correct. When it came time to schedule they transferred me to Steven. Steven was told numerous times the exact date I needed and he said they needed a two day window but when they call to confirm that I needed to tell them the date to be picked up and they would. He also advised that upon pickup cash, credit or money order can be used for payment and upon confirmation that was also not true and they would not pickup on the date I needed. I tried contacting them to no avail. I emailed them from their website and it was kicked back three times as nondeliverable. The customer service at this company is awful and I regret wasting my time hiring them and last minute having to find something else. The employees are very nasty. The owner called me due to the numerous discrepancies and I told him I wanted a refund and did not want to do business with them and he said the billing department will be calling for same. The guy from billing called and refused a refund and said “I don’t care what the owner said I do the billing”. Worst company ever. Stay away from here. Everyone you speak to gives you different stories and does whatever they want and doesn’t want to help. It’s better to do a move yourself than use this company.

My sister used this company to move from NY to VA. After waiting weeks for her belongings and being given the run around countless times, her items arrived completely destroyed. The driver even gave advice not to use this company. As we unpacked the truck in the rain (yes, I said we unpacked because the help from this company never arrived) we came across numerous broken items. My sisters art collection is destroyed, her bed completely broken, and items are still missing.

The worst expirience ever. You should know about this company before hiring.1. PRICE PROBLEMThe price is not confirmed. They will charge MUCH MORE later. For me, they charged $1000 more.2.MOVING DATE PLOBLEMYou cannot confirm of move out date and move in date.Even though you schedule moving date with the manager of this company, they will CHANGE the date.Because they try to proceed for many houses packages ALL AT ONCE.So, it can be hard to schedule accurate time.3. CONTECT PROBLEMI tried to contact them a lot by texting, mailing or calling. But they don't respond and reply. You should just wait for their response endlessly...............
