The Phlebotomist was pretty rude stating I should’ve made an appointment for bloodwork even though their system allows a standby option, I arrived early to be on the waitlist since I’d rather take my chances on the standby list before work but according to her “their system changed”..So already starting on the wrong foot she proceeded to perform the worst venipuncture of my life, sticking the needle through my vein almost perpendicular to my arm and pulling out until there was flow (which I already knew was not the proper technique and leads to blown veins). With every new tube of blood being drawn she wiggled the needle in my arm causing me to wince in pain, at least 3 times for the 4 tubes of blood. She waited until the last tube to take the tourniquet off my arm after complaining I had bad flow and asking if I had drank water ? I was instructed to put ice on my arm because I may bruise, and I indeed did. I’ve never had an issue before when drawing blood, and even my mother who is a phlebotomist has told me that my veins are pretty good and the lady either did it on purpose or was just really bad at her job. Anyways, I’m attaching a photo of the aftermath, it’s a day and a half after my bloodwork. Don’t think I’ll be coming back to this location.

I went with boy who is 15 years old. First time blood test, he was very anxious . I told him not to worry, it’s just a little pinch. But the nurse was very rude and she hit the wrong spot. At first I thought that my son was just complaining but after 24 hours I noticed that his arm swell and he kept complaining that his arm is hurting. I will never go to that facility again. It’s at 150 Lockwood at new Rochelle. Shame on you nurse.

Don’t go there, it’s a waste of time. I had an appointment but i was asked to wait for 90 minutes. Nobody at the reception to talk to.

I’ve been coming to this quest for a while but today the staff was extremely rude & I waited an 1 hr, my appointment was for 10:30 but I needed a new authorization form she never came back out to ask if I’ve received my form & when I asked her she said I was supposed to let her know but there is no way to let them know. This is my last appointment here at this quest location.

Perfectly fine. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Sure, the facilities are old, and a bit run down, but the experience was perfectly acceptable.

People are nice and helpful, the one thing I would say is you guys should REALLY change your address. It is a pain in the ass just to find the place because you guys are NOT even on Lockwood ave. You are actually on VAN GUILDER AVE. . . . if not at least post a SIGN on Lockwood pointing to where you guys are.

I had an appointment for my son. He was promptly seen and we were in and out in under 10 minutes, which is pretty amazing. I have had to get my blood drawn in public and private hospitals and doctor's offices around the world and have never had a more efficient experience. That patient portal is also easy to use and your reports are available in three different degrees of detail, which is very useful. That said, there are a number of areas of improvement: 1. Signage: You can not enter from Lockwood Avenue. The driveway is chained on that side. You have to enter from Van Guilder Avenue; 2. Reception: There was no staff. A scanner automatically scans your insurance information. The decor/ ambience is not what one would expect of any healthcare facility. It can only be described as grungy. i'm not sure what can be done to improve the space as the building itself looks pretty run-down, too; and 3. Training: The nurse who did the blood work seemed frazzled and overworked. She seemed to be the only person on staff present and had to juggle calling in patients, drawing blood, and entering the data. Perhaps the appointments are scheduled too closely together, but investing in your staff so that they can work with a smile is good business sense. You want motivated employees to not just work quickly, but minimize errors.

Waiting room moves kind of slow but if you get in early am you can make it a relatively quick trip.

Unfortunately the Quest lab i usually go to in Bronxville closed down.I decided to go to the location nearest to me...New Rochelle and I am so sorry i did. As a cancer survivor i had my blood drawn tons of times and never had a problem. I need to do this every six months.I told and showed the tec the vain that usually gets used but she did not listen so i bled and bled:( i have the biggest hematoma.and discomfort, due to her ego. Unprofessional and lacked skills. The DOH should shut that place down. I Will never go back.

Medina is terrific! She keeps her space clean, very efficient with all aspects of phlebotomy, slight stick NO pain. I've had appointments (recommended) and also treated as a walk in. Best place for labs ever!!!

Horrible patient experience. Staff is surly cannot make an appointment with a real person. Met with a kiosk staff does not greet you or ask why you are there. DOH should shut them down

Dear Nia or Mia , if you don’t want to come to work, don’t come into work… when someone tells you they have a medical problem and you laugh in their face. After that trying to take a simple urine analysis screaming through the door are you ready? Are you ready? Are you ready? No ma’am I can’t get ready if you’re yelling through the door nonstop nonstop. Thank you for nothing but talking to your old friend and making a pregnant woman and I wait and possibly ruining a job opportunity for me. I hope everyone else notices your nature and you lose your Job . What is the point of putting my things in a lock box while I’m taking a urine analysis when the keys are left in it with the box right in front of me? Now I know why certain people have jobs where they need to get drug tested for.!!!!!! Do to the DMV where you belong

Quest needs to do a better job staffing its locations. There was only one person in the office who was both the receptionist and the phlebotomist. The poor woman. She was so nice and super attentive to my daughter, but it was quite obvious she was overextended. I have been to this location once before in November of 2021 and dealt with the same situation: the receptionist and phlebotomist are one and the same, dealing with a roomful of impatient people. Clearly someone at Quest can hire more people and not cut corners so there's only one person in the whole office. That's ridiculous. No wonder people leave negative reviews. She's the only one there and it's been like that for years! What the hell, Quest? For whatever it is worth to others, I arrived at 7:55 for a 9:20 am appointment. I wasn't seen until 9:40. My very incorrect assumption was that if there were actually more people in the office, they'd be able to see us earlier, but that didn't happen (which was fine, our appt was at 9:20 and we didn't have any special sense of entitlement). There were so many people waiting and as people arrived, our appointment time kept getting pushed further and further down the list. People even walked out because of the staffing shortage. One woman arrived at 8:45am just to drop off a specimen, and had to make an appointment at the kiosk (which had her sitting in the waiting room until 10:30). If someone was at the desk, they could've taken the specimen. No one should have to sit in an office for ~2 hours and make an appointment to drop off some p**** The phlebotomist did the right thing (for the others who were waiting) by making her wait for the next available appointment, but if there was a dedicated receptionist, she would not have had to.I did my due diligence and see Quest has dozens (hundreds) of job vacancies, but are they hiring locally in New Rochelle? Nope. Do you guys not see this as an issue, James E. Davis and co? Someone at corporate needs to deal with this. It is 18 months now since I've been aware of this and this is not okay.

If I could give zero stars I would!!! Front desk is nasty as the wig on her head. Dirty facility and after telling me my child could not wait for me in waiting area and giving urine the monster from hell did not accept my urine but also did not return my lab sheet so I could reschedule. I not only have to pay for another lab but will have difficulty with my school all because she hates her life ! Customer service is key! DO BETTER
