The Management and otherstaff are friendly and kind. I love the ambience of the place which I love to experience whenever I return from the bustle of work. However, I do have a serious issue with their electricity billing. I get billed the same amount (quite high) even if Im out of town or not. This is something they need to resolve.

Both the leasing office and the concierge were super helpful upon moving in - had my keys ready to go on a Saturday, with the apartment cleaned prior to my arrival. Specifically, Meg is extremely personable, and was spectacular in terms of providing me a tour and handling my information on my application. Would work with her again and highly recommend her to future clients.

I was transitioning from upstate to New Rochelle, and Megan was a great help to me. She makes the experience a unique and smooth transition. I was so happy that she helped me move to my new apartment. She got me the perfect place that fits me. I love the apartment. I loved the service; everybody was super professional, and Megan was extremely professional. She allowed me to ask questions and she answered questions in detail. She was very knowledgeable about the apartment and what I needed, and she gave me exactly what I needed. I highly recommend her to everybody else.

Live somewhere else if you can. We’ve lived here for a year and we’ve been told ownership has changed at least 3 times. The elevators never work properly. You could be waiting 10+ minutes for an elevator, or get stuck in one like my wife and I both have on separate occasions. The pool is filthy and I personally watched it get shut down by a pool inspector because chemical levels were so bad (the water is murky frequently). Dogs poop all over the courtyard and owners don’t pick it up. The dog park smells so terrible because they use artificial grass and the waste can’t go into the earth. The parking garage clearly isn’t up to code (they admitted this week they’ve known they had work to do since October of last year) and are forcing tenants to park their cars elsewhere, without compensating those who pay $150+ for a spot per month. They’re also refusing to cover any damages done during the construction, but we have to cover the cost of a damages we make? The building has been under construction since we moved in, yet it’s all been cosmetic (it all looks terrible and isn’t even complete after a year of reno). Nothing has been done to actually improve the quality of the building or lives that live here. Maintenance is terrible, unreliable and actually lies about work being completed. The paint is wearing off our cabinets. Washer machine is old and breaks constantly. They’ve refused to issue us a replacement and just keep doing unacceptable fixes (there’s literally a 2x4 screwed in infront of our washer to keep it from moving off the wall lol). I’ve even seen people smoking in the hallways. It’s that bad.The reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 is… Joyce who works at the front desk is a delight, and the buildings proximity to the train station is very convenient. We would not be living here otherwise.Of course I tried speaking with management before submitting this review but nothing has ever been done.Update 12/29/2023:More terrible art is going up in the hallways and the elevators still haven’t been fixed. I mentioned the exterior of the windows needing to be cleaned when having a meeting with management about other issues mentioned…. They told me it hasn’t been cleaned in at least 7 years. You’re kidding me.Today my wife and I waited for the elevator 6+ minutes and later on 8 minutes. That’s a long time to wait for an elevator! Also while in the elevator, another tenant was saying how he got stuck inside the elevator a week ago. Management has said they can’t do anything about the elevators until all updates in the building are complete, because it could damage the new elevators.I stay true to my original statement, don’t live here. I’ll be sure to warn others if I see them in the lobby waiting to view apartments. I’d love a valid reason as to why my rent went up when there’s all these outstanding issues. We did receive a new washer/dryer though after causing a fuss, so at least one thing was done to improve our time here. They also did accommodate us with an alternate parking spot while garage construction was being done, but only after scheduling multiple meetings with management letting them know this was in violation of the lease.Attaching photos with date stamp proving the elevators have been down for a month as of today.

I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with Shearwood Station. I specifically would like to shout out Meg for her help. She answered all of my questions (I had A LOT of them) and was so professional and patient with me during the entire process. She graciously showed us multiple units and helped us select one that fit our needs. She left such a positive impression, that we decided Shearwood Station would be the perfect home for us. The building itself very nice and is very close to the train station which is perfect for us because we work in New York City. I am really excited to be a new resident of this building. I would advise anyone to check this place out if you're looking for apartments in the area. It won't disappoint!

Meg is amazing! She is so helpful and welcoming. She worked diligently to find the best option for me! We all know NY is expensive so her finding the deals to support my budget made me feel heard. The best part is that she continues to answer my questions/concerns after my signing!

I had an appointment to see an apartment at this building today at 4:00 pm (12/10/23). When I arrived at the location, I was told that “My appointment was not in the system but if I waited around I can still see it.” I waited until 4:35 and then I left. Shortly after I left, I received a phone call and was asked if I wanted to “reschedule.” I said no.Prior to coming here, I read the reviews, which are horrible. However, I scheduled the appointment anyway because I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. It turns out, the reviews are right. If I can’t trust you to follow through with a simple a reservation, then I cannot trust you with anything else. Not to mention, I saw a roach in the lobby. If you are looking for an apartment, go elsewhere. I should have saved myself the $20 cab fare, listened to the reviews and stayed home.

This place is a scam!I was working with Danangee Weston from the leasing office for an apartment. She was very nice and respectful but when I decided not to go through with the apartment I was given the run around to get my $500 back for the holding fee. I did not go through with the apartment because of the additions fee added to the lease. This was in late July/ early August it’s now the last week of October and I have yet to receive any refund of the sort. When I tried to file a claim with my bank they told my bank never canceled my application which was a lie. Communication here is terrible. Mind you they told me not ONCE but TWICE they were sending me a check.I have also CC the community manager Jessica Agostino on email with no response!Today October 25, 2023 I spoke with the “manager” suki martinez who was so nasty on the phone. She laughing and giggling while i am trying to explain what’s been going on. She was not helpful at all. She told me i just don’t want to believe they don’t have my money. She tried to tell me I never paid which doesn’t make sense. I’ve been patient and respectful up until this point. This is totally unacceptable and distasteful. Ms. Suki the manager is unprofessional and unfit for position as a manager. She was yelling “who are you talking to” the way she was talking to me over the phone I know for a fact she would not have the same mannerisms if we were in person having this conversation. she was just a nasty person. She needs to be firedDo not apply here they will take your money and give you the run around to give it back. I will be taking them to court because this is false advertisement and defrauding. I will take this to the full extent of the law, I promise.See you in court Suki <3Update on October 27, 2023 at approximately 8:50 amDanangee Weston left me a voicemail stating that Suki the “manager” did some digging and now suddenly my check will be ready for pick up on November 2, 2023 after 12pm. Interesting because Suki was so adamant about them not having my money and saying I just didn’t want to believe they don’t have my money.November 1, 2023Update. I finally received the check! This process shouldn’t have been this difficult and long. The manager Jessica offered to speak with me about the situation but I declined.

As I am coming here to tell future residents that these people are defrauding people, unprofessional, and lack any tact - I see that I am not the only one who feels this way. I feel sorry for people locked into any lease agreements here because management is HELL. And this is coming from someone who does not live there. I would hope people read the RECENT reviews and take that into account when giving this company thought. They are truly horrible.

The staff is incompetent and does not care about taking care of their future residents. My husband and I wanted to get an apt here, and we were doing a long distance move. Firstly, it’s hard to get a hold of these people. We did our first tour with Aleksandra, she disappeared on us for good after, tried texting and emailing her multiple times. No response. Had to get a hold of someone else, Niyah, who was alright, but ultimately was not able to fully help with our needs and preferences for an apt, she was also slow at responding. For this reason we ended up moving to a different apt complex nearby that’s more luxurious and provides outstanding service to their tenants. Really glad it didn’t work out here. These people only care about filling up the units but not taking care of them.

Be prepared for administrative, late and attorney fees if you are in a difficult situation. This a beautiful place to stay if you like to be in the heart of the action of Downtown, but it comes with a price. Really consider if you want to lease here because everything is a business transaction. You may not get the answers you need right away and the information you receive may not be correct. It is best to get everything in writing to protect yourself and your family.
