“Highly recommend!! Passed by one day and some cars caught out eye. After one convo on the phone with Ted, we knew he would be our go to guy. So friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Haven’t purchased a car yet but Ted is keeping an eye out for us. We have brought our car twice to him for maintenance and he is always thorough, honest, and extremely reasonable. Goodbye getting ripped off at dealerships, I’ll only be brining my car here for now on!!!!!”

“I both dropped off a car from here and then later picked up a car from here. Both times, the transactions were relatively quick and fuss-free. They don't have many cars at this location but it is very convenient to me because I can access Metro North before or after renting. Both cars were clean and full of gas and paperwork was processed quickly. The Budget (and Avis) counter is on the same level as the Metro ticket counters, just across the way past the bus area.”

“Last time I rented from this location, I got a large SUV as I was transporting a few larger items to NYC. I got the car in the evening and was planning to drive to the city early morning ( I was returning the car in a different location). In the following morning as I was driving to the city, one of the tire sensors was signaling there is something wrong with the tire.I stopped and checked and to me it looked like it might be because of low pressure. Total trip that I drove was max 20 miles. As I was returning the car to location 220 W 31st St I did not have a chance to mention the tire sensor thing. Besides, sensor stopped flashing so I assumed everything is ok. To my surprise, one month later I received a letter claiming there was an issue with the tire and I caused it. Ended up getting charged $90 for it.Being Avis customer for years, very disappointed with how I was blamed for something I definitely have not caused. When asked for the evidence and pictures of the damage, I was told they are not required to provide any photos. To me, looks like Avis can charge their clients for whatever issues they want even months later and are not required to provide any documentation. I strongly advice reconsidering renting from Avis.[Edit]: Avis team reached out and my case was re-reviewed. Additional charge got reverted. Appreciate Avis' team help with resolving this. Bumping to 4 ⭐ as my previous experience renting from that location was rather positive.”
