Absolutely the best.Let me start by saying that I’m a crazy person who treats my dog like a human baby. I love her more than anything in the world. She also has terrible teeth, common to her micro-breed. (Little dogs = little teeth = tiniest bit of decay can destroy a tooth in a blink.)Dr. Surgeon and his assistant Maria are AMAZING. The office is small and intimate and so welcoming and warm. The technology they use is state of the art and the doctor even showed me how the various imagining machines worked, and he explained in detail what he saw and what he did. He was so kind and thorough and honestly— I didn’t think they made doctors like this anymore. He’s like someone from a totally different era; so wise and decent. He told me “I still do this because I love the animals” and that’s clearly true.Maria was also so warm and loving to my little dog and I could tell my pup felt truly comfortable and at ease with her. I was so nervous about having my dog’s teeth dealt with but Dr. Surgeon and Maria honestly could not have done more to put my mind completely at ease.DO NOT HESITATE to bring your dog here. And please note, anyone who has left a bad review (go ahead and read them) is complaining solely about money. Well; no, it’s not cheap to have your animal go under anesthesia and have complicated surgical procedures performed. That’s why there’s pet insurance. I’m sorry if it’s going to cost you a lot, but that’s not a reason to blast a truly gifted and deeply caring doctor. No one can possibly have anything bad to say about how their animal was treated here, because it’s impossible to imagine Maria and Dr. Surgeon reacting to any creature with anything less than total professionalism and love. So glad I found them and so happy to be able to return for cleanings in the future.

Maria and Dr. Surgeon were amazing. Both are extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and there is zero doubt they are true pet lovers who enjoy what they do. The facility is extremely clean, the technology is impressive with a top of the line X-ray machine and waiting kennels. I do not think we could have found a better place for our dog. Our dog came in for a chipped k9 with pulp exposure, we were honestly informed by Maria and the Dr as to risks, cost effectiveness, and long-term benefits/risks. Given that we were ready to pay for anything, Dr. Surgeon was so honest he ended up saving us lots of money and headaches. Our dog was in and out in a few hours and is now one happy dog!***Also for anyone worried about cost, anesthesia is always expensive no matter where you go. Do the smart thing and have pet insurance!!! It's a life saver.

They were unbelievably nice and professional. I loved how Isabella talked to Pearl when Pearl was whining and Dr. Surgeon took time to explain what they had to do to correct her bite. So happy I found them.

Dr. Surgeon is extremely compassionate and I credit him for my dog living to be 19 1/2 years. Dental care is important for animals and he is the best!

Doggy Dentist...I never knew there was one! We traveled 2 hours to get there, we were early, they helped us settle> I'm in the medical profession and they did everything correctly to put the dog under for the procedure which was extensive. Being my dog is in SAR I wanted to make sure the work was professional and the direct reviews from other K9 handlers that used them were positive. Dog was back in the flow that evening and happy! Mouth work was excellent.

one of very very few dental vets in the tristate! is clearly an expert. I was nervous as had never visited this vet before and my dog had a broken tooth that needed urgent removal... my regular vet and other vets in my area had almost 2 months wait list for surgery and none of them were specialized as dentists. I was very lucky and called around and got in here the next day here, which i think was luck as they had a cancellation.Dr. Surgeon sees few patients, this is not your average overcrowded vet office. He was kind and calm with my very anxious dog (she's tense with strangers, especially at the vets) and did a quick exam wand was able to extract her tooth and do a cleaning that same day. I dropped her off at 10:15 and had her back, awake and happy at 2:00 pm. I came from NYC and when my dog has had other procedures done it's a 8 am drop off and 6 pm pick up, which is very nerve-wracking and a lot of waiting time for her and me. so needless to say, I'm very pleased.Pricewise of course any veterinary procedure is expensive, but his prices struck me as much cheaper than my average vet in nyc. worth the 30 min travel time from upper manhattan. highly recommend! thank you for taking care of our girl.

So grateful to Dr. Surgeon for correcting a severe dental misalignment that continued for several weeks after our senior dog had surgery at another vet center for an epulis. We were fortunate to find Dr. Surgeon, because our dog's ongoing extreme distress, pain and weight loss (after healing from the surgery) had led us to consider euthanasia. He persisted and resolved the underlying problem. Today our dog is happy, healthy, and enjoying his elder-time (that's Wheaty below after a recent walk). I wish Dr. Surgeon had performed the initial surgery. As a human healthcare provider, I can say that he's the real deal - intelligent, skilled, compassionate - a true healer. And his staff is professional, kind, and communicative.

Great experience. The vet surgeon sees very few patients, he does not rush. We were allowed to stay in the facility through the entire tooth extraction procedure, which was very comforting for us and presumably for our German Shepherd dog too.Flawless execution. He seemed to have all the right equipment and did not feel like he cuts corners in any way. We drove down form Connecticut because there was no other board certified veterinarian dentists to be found nearby, and will go back again if necessary.Just beaware dental procured can be pricey just about anywhere, and more so for a board certified dentist. Do your homework so you don't get a surprise.

This is the worst, most unprofessional vet I have ever encountered. I spoke with the receptionist and asked her about the pricing for dentals. She couldn't tell me what the total would be and put me on hold. Then Dr. Surgeon picks up the phone and starts yelling about how I can't "dictate" what procedures to do on the dogs and how I was harassing the receptionist. Then he tells me to go to another vet. I was just shocked. I said of course, I would never take my dogs to you. And he said he doesn't want to have a client like me either. Don't take your pets here.

My pit mix had a serious problem with overgrown gums and decaying teeth which required surgery. My research revealed there aren't many vet dentists and Dr. Surgeon was the closest. I was originally referred to ANC in NYC but honestly the reviews I read left me a bad gut feeling. . Dr. Surgeon took time to explain what needed to be done and even showed me the OR and up to date equipment. The surgery took almost 3 hours during which he called to verify to proceed with additional procedures. My dog came out of surgery without complications, recuperated well and now is super happy and comfortable. I was so nervous about the whole surgery but Dr. Surgeon did a superb job! Obviously this was a significant cost, but worth it and most probably still less than if I went to NYC with less personal interest and interaction. Thank you to you and your staff!

This wonderful man saved our pug. She was no longer able to eat because her teeth were very infected. If I could give him 6 Stars + I would. So lucky to have found him
