the manager was riding a hoverboard at unsafe speeds while also flying a drone around the store. since he cant do two things at once, the drone flew into an elderly man at 50-60mph, and he crashed his hoverboard into a shelve, which caused all the shelves in the store to collapse like dominos. it was wicked. a car also drove through the store

Frances at the ShopRite in New Paltz is the GOAT. Super friendly, funny, and an awesome cashier.

This store has no bags, two days in a row, incompetent management,. How hard is it to get in your car and drive to poughkeepsie, ellenville or Kingston and get some bags? Perfect example of profits over people, they want to force you to buy their reusable bags that they know you will forget at your house and have to buy more. General manager too busy smoking cigarettes and drinking coffee

I don't live in New Paltz I live over 2 hours south but this Shoprite is the location I always put when I'm going hiking in the area. I always make sure to stop here to the point of it always being a tradition. I get my hiking snacks and drinks here and a delicious sandwich as well. It's a great shoprite and the staff is incredibly friendly even at very early hours. This place is such a staple of my hikes in the area that when friends want to go hiking with me, they joke and ask if they can go to shoprite with me. Keep it up ??

Always finding a deal there but those digital coupons are certainly a pain in the butt a lot of times they don't load and if you don't watch your shopping receipt sometimes they don't take it off but other than that the fruit and vegetables are always good the delis and the dairy departments are always well kept and if ever in the ShopRite of New Paltz make sure you say hello to Susan

I bought yogurt that was 10 days past the expiration date! Later this week I bought a rotisserie chicken that smelled so bad. It smelled like the chicken went bad and they cooked it anyway. I wasted my money. New Paltz Shoprite has gone downhill over the years.

If you hate human beings as much as their cashier Joanna does you probably shouldn't be a cashier. So rude it's weird.

They couldn't ring up my item so they took me out of the line and served five other customers ahead of me while I waited for a manager. When the manager finally came out she took a phone call. I was waiting before the caller. Finally I walked out and left my groceries there. Really not fair to waste the 15 minutes I spent shopping and the additional time I stood waiting to be helped when the cashier couldn't help me. Completely abusive. Just go across the street to Tops.

Sale prices on the shelves and in the refrigerators are wrong and they will not honor them at the register.

This Shoprite is so old and as soon as you enter the door a foul smell immediately hits you. The produce selection is usullay stocked with onions that should have been thrown out weeks ago. There potatoes already have nubs on them. They do not carry a large selection of anything I guess because of the size of the store. I can excuse the long lines at the register do to Covid but it's getting old now. The conduct counter is so slow. The bakery dept is so limited. Maybe it's about time you renovate this Shoprite! Before Tops puts you out of business. I live in Highland and travel to Kingston which is an hour round trip just so I don't get sick to my stomach from the foul smell.

One register open at 8:30 on a Saturday morning, I did not move for 10 minutes. Managers walking around with their coughing chit-chatting when they should be helping. Cashier is chatty Cathy.Maybe if the ShopRite focused on customer service, hiring people and scheduling instead of overreacting about an extra bag here or there, they would be more successful. Nothing annoys me more than watching the cashier put away any bags that I did not use in fear I am going to take an extra one in fact two employees told me they would get fired if I took an extra bag without paying, I highly doubt you will get fired. Why did the shoprite's in poughkeepsie, Fishkill and the new one in Hyde Park focus on customer service and store cleanliness get this store chooses to focus on counting bags
