The cider is great but the view is even better! The patio overlooks the mountains! The sunsets here are absolutely next level! Another note about the view: if you see them offer fireworks viewing for new paltz’s 4th of July fireworks, DO IT! You see all the fireworks, don’t have to deal with the crowds at the fairgrounds, and can watch with a cider in hand! It’s a win-win!
This place is ideal for a romantic date; play jenga and watch the sun set. It’s also ideal for large groups with their big tables.
The only downside to this place is that I would categorize the food offerings here as snacks. So I recommend grabbing something more substantial to eat before heading to kettleborough.”
“Genuine gem in New Paltz. It’s on the outskirts, so you need to drive there, but I’ve never had a bad time here. Compared to the other liquor stores in the area, this store has a really nice, comfortable, family feel. The owner is over the moon to help explain the liquor (yes I know, that’s an upselling tactic, but you can tell he loves his job, and that’s super nice to see). There are always great deals and sales, I got a 1.75 100 proof bottle of vodka for $15- and they carry seltzers that I haven’t seen anyone else in the area carry! Highly recommend.”
“Love it here! They have so many options, and the staff are always super happy to help. They have everything from liquor to boxed wine and from spirits to eggnog. So many choices and you can get lost in here. The prices aren’t too bad, and they have a bunch of mini alcohol bottles at check out- a lot of them are just minis of the big bottles in store and they’re less than $2. Def worth it, and they have such a selection of them.”
“Great selection of various domestic/imported beers & ciders.
Helpful staff willing to go over options with you (Thanks for the recommendation- cider was ACE!) would definitely recommend stopping by for a cold brewski after a hard climb/ hike/ bike etc!”

27 Main St, New Paltz“I enjoyed the layout of the store, wine is easily found under taste categories with several choices. Great customer service, I needed help finding a wine that matched what I was looking for and was able to find that. Thank you!”
“Best selection, nicest staff, professional and great customer service. Whenever I walk in to Fox and Hound, I know I’m going to walk out with a quality wine. Ken is the best. Wouldn’t go to any other wine store in town. If you want a place that treats you with respect, values you as a customer and - never, ever, ever upsells you - this is the place to go. A gem.”
