Dr. Santora and all the staff are very knowledgeable and gentle. My dog has a lot of anxiety and Dr. Santora was great with her. I would recommend New hyde park animal hospital to everyone that wants a great vet.

I have a cat, 15 years old, blessed with a healthy system. Other than the annual check-ups and vomiting issues I did not have the need for many visits to the clinic. However, when needed, every time I went I paid btw $500-$800 per visit. Not once did they offer a payment plan! Moreover, Dr Santoro, decided to add another test after she placed the initial order and charged me an addition $180, for which they bombarded me with phone calls, while at work because I did not find the time to go over and pay after I have approved it, on the same day! My last visit there was the worst! I sent my husband, as I was working that Saturday. Dexi had been scratching, vomiting and losing weight for over a week at the time! I figured he has fleas and internal parasites as sometimes he sneaks out of the house! Once again, the charge was steep, and no real help provided as two weeks later he is still uncomfortable! The office manager mentioned that my husband was told he needed a fecal test to be prescribed the right medication, but no cup was provided, no other guidance offered so never did it! I was told to come back and do a million other useless testing, another thousand out of my pocket, while Nothing is done for Dexi! Shame on you doctor, and shame on your staff to take advantage of hard working people who trust their beloved pets to you! Your office is only interested in making money, not the life and wellbeing of pets! Shame, shame, shame!

Stay far away. They took on a procedure for my dog that they were not equipped to do. My dog almost died during the procedure because of that. They also charged me for their incompetence. They made me pay before sending the lab work to the other hospital. I had to go to a different animal hospital to get it done and pay again.

I highly recommend New Hyde, Park Animal Hospital. The staff is welcoming and efficient. Dr. Julie is wonderful. She took such good care of my dog and myself. Dr. Julie was able to calm Gibson down and perform her exam. her assistant was terrific and took care of my Gibson.

All the doctors and staff are attentive and caringThey took care of our beagle for 14 years . When he passed at 16 , they sent a beautiful card with beautiful sentiments written by the staff.We now have a new puppy and receive the same level of care.

So kind!We had to bring my fur baby in for his disgusting breath. Dr. Pellegrino and all of the staff are so friendly and kind with him! She recommended a cleaning and some extractions and provided a cost estimate before we scheduled anything. I really appreciate the clinics kindness toward the animals and the sensitivity to the customers. My #1 worry was his health, #2 was unexpected cost. This is a very well managed practice, and I look forward to bringing my cat to them for years to come.Still coming here years later for the furry ones!

I brought in two five week old kittens and Dr. DiGrazia did well baby check ups on the two of them. She is so gentle and loving with them we could not ask for a better Vet.
