The store was packed this afternoon. There was only one sales person on the floor. Her name is Lady. She literally had 4+ customers surrounding her for help. I was one of them. She explained that they were understaffed and others were on break. I felt bad for her but she met the challenge. and mapped out a plan to help each customer. She was extremely pleasant and professional. The check out line was too long of a wait and that's why I'm giving the experience 4 stars.

My 10 year old daughter was shopping at this Lake Success NY store a few weeks ago and purchased a lip balm. She was stopped as she was exiting the store by an employee. She was asked to surrender her lip balm and to give the receipt to the employee. She did so. The employee verified she did purchase the item. My daughter had to request for the employee to return the item she just purchased. My daughter is a light brown skinned latina. She was with her cousin who is a white skinned Latina. Her cousin wasn't asked to surrender her items or to show her receipt. This to me is a case of racial profiling and I'm appalled. My 10 year old daughter is a avid Sephora enthusiast. You should check your NYPD stop and frisk processes cause it was completely uncalled for.

Just walked out the store and could not believe how 2 employees could not answer 2 different questions. I asked the employee who is the greeter at the door a question about a matte powder right next to her. She did not know how to answer my question and gave me an answer for the sake of answering me. I asked the other employee if you need a sharpener to sharpen the new NARS matte lipstick pencil. She told me that you have to twist the bottom. I tried it and it did not work then she tried it and it did not work. So she went to a Manager to find out. Sephora, you need to train your employees about the products!

They have a very small selection of items. And most often, items seems to be opened already in the shelves. Decent store overall.

Yes, I'm kind of a make-up addict. How could I wait so long to review this sephora?This place has a great selection of products. I'm a huge fan of the ordinary line. Their beauty studio is also variable. Some of the associates are great and do a wonderful job with the makeup. Others, not so much...Service is a hit or miss. I tried to get my foundation matched the last time I was here and the associate would not listen to me! The color she kept trying to force on me was obviously three shades too tan. I looked like Ross from Friends after his tanning fiasco. But what do I know about my own skin? At least she was nice enough to give me a sample so I could try it at home again to be sure it wasn't the right colorIG: QueenOfAdventureNYC

I was scared to go into this location due to the reviews, but im glad i did. Lauren was absolutely amazing, helpful, and friendly, and she took her time to shade match me. Overall, the visit was met with a friendly associate (Dont know his name). Sephora, as usual, is a bit pricy, but I was satisfied with my purchase and my visit. Hope to have the same experience in the near future.

Of every 10 products I buy from Sephora I end up returning 8. The prices are too high and most products don't deliver. One of the great things was the ability to return. Now there's a 60-day return policy. I was just there and a super goop spray spf was sold defective where the spray doesn't work. The cashier made it worse by breaking off the top then tells me this is after the 60-day period so I can't exchange. Wasn't looking for a refund just a courtesy exchange. This is after spending $150 in the store. There are other places online where the same products are much cheaper. I just purchased online a Versace perfume for less than what they have and bought a bigger bottle. No more Sephora for me.

My new favorite location. Sales Associate, Mark is always eager to help and pleasant. Stopped in minutes before closing and he was so upbeat. Left with a smile.

it's disheartening to know IRENE and accomplice are so rude and lazy at 11:05 am (when the store opened).Why work in retail? This is the third time this woman has been so rude and unwelcoming . Get rid of IRENE !you can't even shop in your neighborhood beauty store anymore because of the lack of respect !

Very Bad attitude of the staff they just ignore you plus they are very racistt and employees gossip about coustomers with eachother wont shop hear againsephora should train there employees to wish and make coustomers more comfortable

It was house full and the staffs were busy. Dint get much help from them. The store was well organized and well stocked. They had a facial promotion in store worth 60 $ and along it comes 250 bonus points plus goodies basket.

Was there today getting makeup products with my mom and a sales rep approached me while I was next to my mother and asked me what I was getting her for Mother’s Day and she put me on the SPOT next to my mom to get her a facial and said ohhh don’t you think your mom deserves that and more. I was so embarrassed! You don’t ask someone what they’re gifting another person when they are standing right next to you! I was so upset I bought my products and left with my mom. Horrible sales tactics!

Lauren was absolutely amazing! I went in there for a shade match and she took her time to find me a perfect match all while managing the store and making sure everyone was being helped. It’s the Sephora Sale time and the store was busy but she was amazing and delightful! Sephora is lucky to have someone like her!

Great experience with Debbie and Crystal..Store Manager. Debbie has patience, expertise and is a great “go to” for beauty questions and recommendations. Crystal is caring and wants the customers to have a positive experience. What started out as a negative experience with Danielle and Sookie..an awful Manager, ended up ten stars with Crystal and Debbie.
