After seeing a couple of posts on Instagram, we decided to check out Sansone Market in Garden City Park. While it's not a huge space it is loaded with lots of Italian products. Everything from packages of sweets to canned goods to fresh cheese and meat to pizzas. The back of the store has a long deli counter that has a bunch of made to order sandwiches to choose from along with some premade food. There is even a cheese counter with tons of options. Their freezer section includes items like pizza, ravioli and even bake your own sfogliatelle. Then you come upon the pizza counter. Fresh made 12" pizza is available Wednesday through Sunday. We brought a Marinara pizza home, the crust was lovely and the sauce had a great freshness to it. They also had a bunch of items premade that we couldn't pass up on. The Picante Stromboli was divine. Filled with grilled chicken, broccoli rabe and spicy peppers. It was so delicious. The zucchini pie was sort of a frittata and it was heavenly. They also offer coffee and a small display of baked items like cookies and cannoli. The front of the store has some tables where you can enjoy your purchases if you wish. Sansone Market is a little slice of Italy right on Jericho Turnpike.

Augie is the new pizzaiolo at Sansone. Stopped in for a margarita for lunch. Expertly made with top quality ingredients. He takes the time to do everything right. If you crave an authentic Naples style pie, stop in and you won't be disappointed!

This is a great Italian market. Not only do they have prepared foods. It is also a full-service deli. The pizza is unbelievable. They have a lot of hard to find Italian specialty items.

This place is awesome! They have authentic Italian products that I cannot find anywhere, like the Esta the!! I have not had anything that wasn't good. Definitely coming back.

My wife & I love everything about Sansone Market. My only problem with Sansone is that I wish I discovered it exists earlier in my life. We catered my toddler's birthday party all from Sansone & everyone couldn't stop talking about the food. When we pick up lunch from Sansone on the weekends, 1 of our favorite parts of the visit is seeing Rudy behind the deli counter. He's always so helpful & nice with every single thing. Everything he makes for us is delicious, especially those eggplant towers. My wife loves those & notices a difference when he makes them for her. He makes us feel like family from the moment we walk through the doors.

This place is the best real Italian prepared food and groceries. I had the eggplant tower which is a 10. So good. And the vegetariano hero which is also incredible. Highly recommend this place

Sansone market is an amazing Italian market! My family and I attended their polenta night and it was nothing short of perfect. The host was extremely knowledgeable of all things Italian. The food was delicious and the polenta was out of this world. The owners were extremely welcoming especially of my two little guys who attended due to a change of plans. I can't thank you all enough!

I like it I love it I want some more of it . These ravioli I tried for 1st time and are better than raviolis from Brooklyn stores and Arthur Ave in the Bronx. I was pleasantly surprised. Please go there and buy them. And for an added bonus get yourself an espresso from the coffee bar. Best espresso I've had outside of Rome. Place is Boss

Look no further if you are planning on building a charcuterie platter. They have an excellent selection of meats and cheeses, jams and jellies, nuts, olives, etc. The prices are very reasonable especially for the quality of their products. The store also includes a whole deli counter of prepared foods and tons of pantry staples. Everything that we have tried has been top notch. If you haven't stopped by yet do yourself a favor and make the trip. If you go in the afternoon you might even get a full slice of delicious pizza to sample while you shop. The staff are friendly and helpful as well!

The food here is amazing, they always have so much on display and it all looks so good you dont know what to pick. Not to mention this is one of few spots where you can get a good selection of vegetables properly prepared. Hard to find when everyone sprinkles lettuce on top and calls it a day. The desert counter is the hardest to walk past, they make these giant oatmeal cookies stuffed with big raisins, theyre so soft and delicious you have to grab them before they fly out the door. The service is so friendly you can't walk through the place without feeling like everyone knows your name. Ashame you cant give 10 stars. I wouldnt just recommend, I would insist you try them. Amazing everytime.
