Gus paint pro extraordinaire Immediately greeted me upon arrival and walked me thru everything I needed to make a 1 bedroom paint over simple. True gentleman even walked my 5 gallon to my car. This is the place to come if you need real paint. Not Home Depot or Lowe’s . Get real paint not water down garbage .”
“Finally a person who tells you what you need to know. I had been looking everywhere for a 4 ft LED that is shatter resistant and compatible with my ballast. This is the first person who told me there are plastic sleeves that can go over the bulb to prevent shattering. Wish someone had told me this sooner!”

“We were looking for a stain and were impressed with the number of different colors available in the store. In addition, the gentleman working there was very helpful. Once we had picked a color, he mixed it on-site and we were out the door a few minutes later. Also, it turned out there was a "special" running that day and it knocked the price of the can of stain down quite a bit. It was an excellent experience from start to finish.”

He has been in Queens Village for over four decades.Yesterday out of curiosity, I went to a distributor in Maspeth to get price on 4 ea. of a hex head cap screw and a flange nut. Come to find out the distributor sells by the pack. Screws were $23 / pack of 50 ea. Nuts were $20 / pack of 100 ea. Bruce sold me the four I needed for $2.It never fails to support small businesses in the neighborhood. I am and will always be a customer for life.Thank you!”
“What a fantastic experienc!!!. I previously sent an unfavorable review about Sherwin Williams in Merrick on Sunrise Highway. I had to go back to ask questions and decided to go to the Oceanside location instead because of my horrible experience in the Merrick store. It was like night and day. Robert T. went above and beyond to assist me. I explained what I needed and he provided me with guidance and examples so I could thoroughly understand what I needed for my project. He didn’t even know about my previous experience in Merrick and still went above and beyond. I honestly was taken aback as the treatment was amazing. He was so receptive in helping me. “The five stars is actually going out to a worker, I think he said his name is Isaiah. Very tall slim guy. He brought the giant garbage can I bought out to my car in the freezing cold today and stayed out there for 10 minutes while trying to get it to fit in my car. I would have been completely stuck without him! Thanks, dude! You deserve the accolades!***It's now April of 2024 and I find myself leaving another rave review for this Ace Hardware. This time it's because I bought something online that the house REALLY needed, but couldn't leave my house because my mother is bed ridden, not well, and for over a week I couldn't find someone appropriate to safely watch her so I could go pick it up. When Ace called me because they wanted to remind me that I had a product waiting, I explained my situation and asked if they could please just hold it a little longer. The next day, my doorbell rang and an Ace employee had their hand outreached to me with the product and a smile. I was and am floored. This is the old timey kind of customer service from my youth and not usually seen anymore. Thank you to whichever employees were involved in that whole resolution. :)”
