I originally had an appointment for a passport application with a photo. A while after submitting my application I received an email from the Department of State that my photo was unusable due to being unclear. After checking my copy of the photo, I can confirm the picture was very low quality and there was probably soemthing wrong with their camera. I did not want them to take another possibly bad pciture with their camera so I went to Walgreens instead for the picture. The picture from Walgreens was significantly better looking. I went to the post office again with an appointment to send my new picture. I had to pay for shipping to send the picture out, but was told I could get a refund for the initial photo and that they could look up the transaction if I could not find the receipt. I returned later unable to find the receipt, expecting to just look up the transaction, but I was then told by the post master that they could not refund me and that they usually just retake the picture when this happens (as if this happens regularly?). I got the picture at a different location as I did not want to risk their camera not working again. The associate that I worked with at walgreens by the way said that they have never had a picture get declined in their 5 years of working there, they're open 7am to 10pm, and they don't require an appontment.Overall, maybe a new camera would be a good idea because other reviews have also mentioned the camera breaking. Why don't you use any system to check the picture before sending it, to make sure it meets proper requirements (as all the drug stores already do when taking the picture)? No, it was not a new employee who wasn't trained to use the camera, the post master took my initial picture. Why would I want to get another picture with the same camera? Why did I have to pay to send it out again after your mistake? Please properly train your workers on return policy. And there was no sympathy from the post master at the end of this situation to try to make up for the lost time and money.Go somewhere else for your passport photos.

Horrible costumer service and post master. Driver messed up and put my package on hold, drove to office three times to recieve package and was misled the first 2 times.

Horrible communication and customer service. I had a package get shipped to my previous address. I contacted this facility on Thursday, the package then said out for delivery. I spoke with Rebecca the "post master". She said she would contact the driver and have them hold the package and call me back. I didn't hear back. I called back Friday. Spoke with someone else who tried to rush me off the phone, I insisted she take my name and number again, and again was told someone would call me back. Again, no call back. I called again Saturday, no package to be found at the PO and I was told the manager would call me back. He called and left a voicemail with no information regarding the status of the package. I called yet again this morning, and after being on the phone for several minutes, verifying that I had mail forwarding set-up, and checking the tracking, I was informed that the package had been processed as a return to sender on Friday, after my TWO phone calls that received no assistance. So now, my item is extremely delayed, and I will have to pay the sender repeated shipping costs. Infuriating to say the very least. This is not a big city PO with dozens of employees. This should have been a simple, easy fix all around.

As stated in the previous reviews, customer service here is an absolute disgrace !!! Take your business to another place that will be willing to help you without a problem. The manager, who’d was a guy, was very nice. But the others like that Chris and Valerie. Super rude. I had a passport appointment for my infant daughter. I called on a Friday to verify my Saturday appointment. They told me yes I was still on but they’re no longer taking photos because they’re camera broke and I would have to figure out a way to get her photo taken. Within 24hrs no one think to call their customers with this issue. This was the main reason why I booked through them because they stated they take passport photos. So I had to leave work early Saturday morning to go to Walgreens to take a photo. Went there at 8:45 just for them to say it opens at 9 (which is fine being that this was last min due to false advertisement from this post office). So we waited 15mins. As everyone knows it is not easy having an infants photo taken. It literally took us 52mins to get the ideal passport photo for a 5mo old. So we arrived to the post office 10mins late due to the fact of having to find our own way to have our baby passport photo taken. They told us we can’t take our baby passport application because we arrived 10mins late. My heart was broken, I couldn’t say anything. I just walked away with tears in my eyes. I wonder how differently things would have went if they actually had their cameras working and didn’t make us find our own way. I wonder if it would have taken only 10mins to take an infants photo. I wonder if everything would have went so smoothly if only they had everything in order. It’s so disheartening for them to turn me around and be rude about it because their cameras didn’t work. So disappointed in them. They don’t let you know anything and then they’re rude when they’re in the wrong about things. No kind of customer support at all !!!

Terrible customer service! There were protesters outside the New Hartford office on Saturday! I happened to be wearing a MAGA hat at the time (not knowing what these people were protesting) and two USPS workers/protesters harassed me, and tried to impede my ability to go into this post office! They're lucky I didn't have them arrested! I will NEVER use this post office again.

Very poor customer service in regards to help with passport. I was told to fill out these papers and mail it. I already filled out the paperwork I just needed a photo and proper way to mail it. I was told they don't mail these. Maybe it's time for Theresa to retire.
