After being a client for 30 Years, 7 or 8 dogs , I called in T 8 AM when Casey , 13 year old dog , became very ill , I explained we didn’t know if he would be ok. We were told that since Casey has not been in for 3 years he would be considered a New Patient and that they would not see him until November! She said to take him to Syracuse to the Emergency Hospital. I asked to speak to someone in charge and she said no one is there.

I’ve called numerous times today only to be asked if I have an emergency. I reply No and ask to put me on hold! The first time I was on hold 15 minutes listening to music followed by the phone continuously ringing but no answer! In one hour I was simultaneously calling from my home phone and cell and repeatedly was put on hold for 15 minutes followed by the music stopping and then ringing! Also yesterday I made an appointment by Liz for 8:30am! I sat in my car for 30minutes not knowing that on Wednesday they open at 10:00am!

I went in an absolute emergency as it was the closest vet near my home. My 5 pound Pomeranian ate a NyQuil. I rushed into the lobby sobbing with my pup drooling all over herself. The receptionist quickly ran to the back and told the doctor what was up. Yet the doctor was ‘too busy’ to even look at my dog. No other cars in the parking lot. I guess getting home on time is more important than a furry life. You do NOT get a degree if you don’t have a passion, and whoever that doctor was did not. My puppy is okay, no thanks to Burrstone animal “hospital”

I am new to the area and needed a vet. Burrstone Animal Hospital was recommended. Dr. Prichard took excellent care of my puppy. She was very thorough and ran all appropriate tests. She was very kind and patient. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I recommend Burrstone to anyone needing a vet.

I don't bring my dogs to this facility but I did call their emergency service last night after my dog ate the gel pack that comes inside a package of raw chicken. I was unsettled with the response my vet gave me and when I called here for a second opinion the gentleman answering the calls was very helpful. He got me a number to call of a place that would assist me, even though my dog was not seen there. Everything turned out fine for my pup thanks to the help I received. Thank you Burrstone!!!

We have been clients of Burrstone Animal hospital going back to when they were on Burrstone Road. We have brought Cats and Dogs to the facility over this lengthy time period and always been satisfied with the service. Recently they have had some changes in staffing due to the retirement of Dr. Thompson and Dr. Demson. In January 2017 I brought my new cat in for a physical and granted he was upset at being taken to another strange place, but one of the new vets seemed more
