8/30/24, Store is filthy and mismanaged. This has nothing to do with the Aug, 2024 renovations in progress. Could not find Phila Cream Cheese -- was not with the cream cheeses but across the aisle and waaay down the other side of the aisle. Then, very poor selection, if you can even call it Selection, of cut-up fresh fruit. The containers were open and leaking on me and the floor. Human cashiers stop working between 8:00-9:00 pm, leaving the few remaining to supervise the Self-checkout. IF THEY CAN SUPERVISE THE SELF-CHECKOUT, THEY SHOULD BE AT THEIR CASHIER POSTS, CHECKING OUT GROCERIES. And, last but not least, VERY HIGH PRICES, $5.00 FOR A DOZEN EGGS??? CRIMINAL. The above are all due to poor and Mismanagement, not due to the severely long-overdue store renovations.

I went shopping this morning and I was very disappointed with your renovations. I spent an extra 20 minutes. And I could not find sugar I could not find coffee. Everything is just all over the place. Very disappointing live five minutes from there and I’ve been going there for years I don’t think I’m gonna go there again better to go to garnerville. I think that’s kind of sad.

Good experiences at this store, they have many self-service lines, which is great for me, I use them all the time. The staff that works these lines are very attentive and friendly and they handle issues quickly!

You had an employee this weekend maybe they were a Manager Iam not sure. My Grandson and three of his friends came in and the first thing that was said to them Not hello but was don't do any thing stupid then they follow through the store.They were stereotype as soon as the came in. This is unacceptable and unnecessary.As a Grandparent I knew where these boys were and rest assure I knew how much money each one of them had on their cash app. Believe you me they had enough to buy groceries in there

This store location was never the best in customer attention. Long lines, out of stock items....that's all fine and dandy as I have gotten used to it, and some of the other shoprite locations nearby have much better service. Anyway I happened to pass by and decided to do some quick groceries. My mom wanted some plantains, we checked and did not find any plantains out on display but there was a long time produce worker that was putting out bananas right beside us. So we decided to ask for plantains and this female worker told us to come back later. Like what? I may not be the type of person that wants to make a scene and belittle another person but we saw the plantain boxes out on the cart beside her as she was working on the bananas that is just rude what she did. She did not even entertain our needs for 1 minute. Stop what the hell you were doing for a minute and help a customer out. Ofcourse I would not come back later, we have things to do as well. These small things makes you lose customers, we werent being rude, maybe we were too nice, maybe we should have made a scene and call the manager right on the spot. Whatever, all I know is that i won't forget this experience anytime soon and hope it doesn't happen to anyone else that shops in this store.

One of the few groceries stores in New City. Located right in the center of the town with variety of goods. They have self checkout as well as manned checkout.

What can you really say about a supermarket? I have always had a good experience here and when I have needed to deal with an employee for an issue they have always been most helpful.

ShopRite of New City has the best selection of meat on Main St. for a good price. If I want more of a selection then I go to the ShopRite in Nyack. They have many items that Stop and Shop does not have and meat is one of them.They have a large poultry section, but don't have much in the way of Perdue chicken breasts without skin and bone. Instead, you end up buying their brand, Bowl & Basket.Unlike Perdue, you have to trim these up too much and carve out a bone piece from where the wing used to be. I really hate how much I have to debone and deskin something that claims to be boneless and skinless. I never find bones in Perdue breasts.I really dislike that their Bowl & Basket brand is taking over many name brand items that I used to love. Half of the Bowl & Basket brand items are the same as name brand products, but some are much worse. Even the tissues now are a ShopRite brand called Paperbird.I want to shop my favorite name brand items. I don't want to spend money on brands that are generic and I'm not sure whether or not they live up to the name brand items I like. It's too much. You might as well rename the store, 'Bowl & Basket'. I realize this is a corporate decision, but it is a bad one.
